“Quiet & Friendly”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 3, 2013

We stayed here in late April while snowboarding at Snowbird Ski Resort. Quiet atmosphere, very friendly hotel clerks. Everyone was polite and helpful. The room was a basic hotel room, we were looking for a clean and quiet place to crash after a day on the mountain. Room was clean, breakfast was good, and service was friendly.

all was well with our stay here. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and we had a good nights sleep. We wnrt down to Breakfast and it was 7am, the main dish was completly empty as was the cofee. The person in charge of breakfast was cleaning the area and not tending to refilling the food. when it was finally restocked it was very good. other than that We would return.

It's hard to say how long this hotel has been in business -- 20 years or more? In any case, it's not new, and it shows. The decor is outmoded and there are signs of wear and tear. The grounds are not splashy; in fact it looks like the lot is being gradually engulfed by an adjacent truck dealership. However, this Comfort Inn is well maintained in all the ways that matter for economy accommodations. For example, the TV was vintage 90s and quite dim, but the plumbing worked great. The beds, air conditioning, and security were likewise solid, clean, and in good working order. The linen and towels were clean and fresh. There were no strange odors, and the furniture and carpet (while old) were cared for. The staff was helpful and polite. A complimentary continental breakfast was included (an endangered species these days). There was a satisfactory variety of eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit, bread, and pastries, and the dining area was clean and tidied up regularly. I didn't go in the pool, but it looked clean and maintained. So, nothing spectacular here, but it's one of those places you can go to for less than $100 and get your bed and breakfast before moving on.

Room Tip: Two storeys -- get a room on the ground floor if stairs are a problem for you.

Generally, the hotel is fine....for the price. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were quite good. The towels were not good. They are of the low end hotel crispy towel type. The location is convenient to the soccer stadium and the South Towne Expo Center.
The hotel could use a good refurbishing.

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times as it is just a short drive from the Salt Lake Internation Airport and is conveniently just off the freeway. We normally arrive starving and have found the night club next door a great place for a beer and a burger.
We found the front desk staff very helpful and had no problems with our room.

It is a good place to stay if you want to ski at Alta and Snowbird but don't want to pay resort prices for your hotel.

Room Tip: We try to get a ground floor as there are no elevators. All the rooms that we have had have been qu...

I stayed here for a show an the carpet was dirty and the carpet was still dirty when I checked out. The rooms smell stuffy, it's tricky to get from the freeway, there is a short cut through the used car lot of the Ford dealer. Overall I will try my best not to stay here again. The shower is the worst, goes from boiling hot to cold. So beware!

We stayed nov 24. The fd clerks always said hello to us when coming in or out of the hotel doors. Since the fd is the first impression a guest gets, its nice to feel welcomed and not I'm too busy texting to pay attention to you! Ha. They had complimentary tooth brush/paste when we forgot to grab ours from home. They even printed out directions to a restaurant for us, thats a plus to go above and beyond to me. We didn't go swimming but the pool area looked clean. They offer Bfast in the rate, too bad we missed the times, but the dining area looked comfy and could fit quite a bit of guests at the tables set up. Our room was next to an ice machine and at first I thought great I will hear it all night, but its was nice I didn't at all. Some touch up from maintainance might be needed by the door stopper on wall and the bottom of the bath tub had bad stains. The mirrored panels, I'm guessing as some sorta design, on the head board was a bit spooky when waking up in the middle of the night...seemed kinda cheesy too. We would stay again. A good one niter to visit family in town.
