“We had a good stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2013

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times as it is just a short drive from the Salt Lake Internation Airport and is conveniently just off the freeway. We normally arrive starving and have found the night club next door a great place for a beer and a burger.
We found the front desk staff very helpful and had no problems with our room.

It is a good place to stay if you want to ski at Alta and Snowbird but don't want to pay resort prices for your hotel.

Room Tip: We try to get a ground floor as there are no elevators. All the rooms that we have had have been qu...

I stayed here for a show an the carpet was dirty and the carpet was still dirty when I checked out. The rooms smell stuffy, it's tricky to get from the freeway, there is a short cut through the used car lot of the Ford dealer. Overall I will try my best not to stay here again. The shower is the worst, goes from boiling hot to cold. So beware!

We stayed nov 24. The fd clerks always said hello to us when coming in or out of the hotel doors. Since the fd is the first impression a guest gets, its nice to feel welcomed and not I'm too busy texting to pay attention to you! Ha. They had complimentary tooth brush/paste when we forgot to grab ours from home. They even printed out directions to a restaurant for us, thats a plus to go above and beyond to me. We didn't go swimming but the pool area looked clean. They offer Bfast in the rate, too bad we missed the times, but the dining area looked comfy and could fit quite a bit of guests at the tables set up. Our room was next to an ice machine and at first I thought great I will hear it all night, but its was nice I didn't at all. Some touch up from maintainance might be needed by the door stopper on wall and the bottom of the bath tub had bad stains. The mirrored panels, I'm guessing as some sorta design, on the head board was a bit spooky when waking up in the middle of the night...seemed kinda cheesy too. We would stay again. A good one niter to visit family in town.

I try to find positive things about everyplace I stay, but it was challenging here. The hotel, while right off the highway is still challenging to find, and it feels like it is the middle of nowhere. The hotel is old and in need of repair on the inside and out. The rooms were mainly clean, but the carpet was stained, and it did not "feel" clean. The staff was for the most part accommodating, but seemed a bit lost at times, though they were nice. I stayed here because all hotels were booked because of a convention. However, I will drive further out of town before staying here again.

Now the positive. The eggs on the breakfast bar were better than most.

The room was very clean, the breakfast was nice, with waffles, eggs, sausage, and gravy. The basic cable TV sucks with limited channel selection. If you want to watch something other than basic TV, stay elsewhere. Otherwise for the money it was an ok place, and far enough off the road so it was quiet.

I booked this hotel for the location. It had a very large sign on the 15 freeway in Sandy UT. When I drove up to the hotel, it looked like it was empty. Not a single car was in the parking lot, except for a crew working on a night club next door. The hotel was empty except for one person at the check-in counter. Check-in was OK and I was allowed to check-in early. The room was completely average and clean. Breakfast in the AM was typically boring and not healthy. Being near the freeway, it was very quiet. For the money spent, It was just OK.

Room Tip: Second level, away from the front desk.

Hotel is in a funky location, down a side street. Didn't feel good about parking my car anywhere but out front, but those spots fill fast. Hallway carpets are dirty/worn. Room was fine. We had the 2nd floor King Suite. Big room with microwave and couch. Comfortable bed. Very good breakfast including eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and the standard continental breakfast items. We stayed there because we got a good price on the room and it was near IKEA.

Room Tip: 2nd floor king "suite" was large room with a couch, microwave and refrigerator
