This restaurant is a local gem. Having driven by for years, we had an invitation from friends for dinner. No disappointment here. We shared the scallops appetizer which was cooked perfectly. Fresh bread with a herb spread was brought to the table. I had the beef tenderloin which was cooked perfectly and could have been cut with a regular knife. My husband had the chicken and our friends split the lamb entrée. They offer a split plate for $10 which gives a second salad and sides with the entrée. Between the salad and entrée courses we were brought a cantaloupe/watermelon sorbet to cleanse the palate. We saved room for dessert (we took half of our entrees home) and split the cheesecake. Very yummy. Although it's a little pricey, it's well worth it for special occasions. All entrees come with salad and sides of a starch and vegetables. We sat on the patio which is enclosed. They have an extensive wine list, but we brought our own bottle. We will definitely revisit when we are in the area. Service was attentive, but not hovering.

WOW. Just wow. Four of us from work dined here for the first time last week. I can see why it gets a super high Zagat rating.

The lamb tenderloin with a mustard sauce and blueberry reduction was just phenomenal. I tasted a bite of the elk as well. Outstanding flavor everywhere, all over the plate: sauces, risotto cakes, just EVERYTHING!

At high 30s and low 40s per entree you get a meal. It was served with a fantastically tasty salad as a first course that featured fruit and candied nuts and a cleanse the palate sorbet after that course.

The wine list was well priced and easy to navigate. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Nothing stands out in terms of the venue or atmosphere but it worked!

This is a restaurant that does a few things and does them well. Yes the prices are a little high, but they have it dialed in. Scallops were perfect, wine list AMAZING, salad portions were big and very satisfying, a sweet pallet cleanser in the middle of your meal (cantaloupe my fav!) now onto our dinner entrees...Elk was big portion the sauce had a nice heat to it but nothing Crazy good, the Ahi was fantastic just to much going on on the plate. I believe simple is better. Service was perfect but there were only 3 other tables full in this place. Defiantly give this place a try make sure you order the scallops! A glass of wine, scallops and the salad would be a perfect meal in my book.

My colleague described this restaurant as "An oasis in the middle of a good food desert" and he was not wrong!

This place was recommended to us and it did not disappoint. It does not look much from the outside but it is a great little place serving very high quality food.

The menu is pretty small but it is fairly varies (chicken, fish, elk, steak). The foor is beautifully prepared and served by very friendly and fun waiting staff.

The nice touches are the bread with homemade butter, salad course and sorbet, all of which are included in the price.

I think if you are in the area and are bored of all the American chain restaurants then this is the place to go!

Tiburon seems to have thrown in the towel. The menu is small, lacking innovation, and very pricey given the total experience Tiburon offers diners. During a recent Saturday night, we found the restaurant to be barely half-full, yet service was still slow.

We were seated on the patio, which is definitely the only place I'd want to be seated as the interior is too small, but because there is neither music nor a fountain provided, the sound of the busy street was a constant presence. Our primary server was fine, but the runners were sloppy teenagers in t-shirts and baggy pants. (Patrons were also mostly in shorts and t's.) We were attired in dressy casual clothing (silk shirt for him, a skirt and heels for me) and I felt over-dressed. So it's not the type of place where you feel like you're getting a special meal, despite the prices and the pretty patio.

I think Tiburon's the type of place where if you're visiting from out of town or have never had elk or pork belly before, you might be impressed. But it does not warrant a return visit for foodies, simply because the menu changes very little and relies heavily on a meat & potatoes type of theme to most of the dishes.
