My wife had a healthy gift card for La Caille. We wennt for a special occasion. The food was OK, but the servers were not polite and the portions were small. We HONESTLY stopped at a Burger King afterward, as we were still hungry.

“A must experience any time of year.”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

This restaurant is all about the ambiance. The food is always very good as you would expect from an upscale restaurant, but where else in the Rocky Mountains are you going to eat in a French inspired castle with 'Garden of Eden' type grounds. In the Spring and Summer the creeks, ponds, and foliage are so picturesque. In the Fall and Winter, it's a true Winter Wonderland. There are ducks and geese and everything is beautifully lit. Once you pass through the beautiful gated entrance off the main road you enter a land of luxury and enchantment. The approach is along a cobblestone road through the woods and along a pond with a field of grapes. You can park in a lot to the south and walk a short distance or you can drop your car off at the doorstep and have a valet park your car for you. La Caille is terribly romantic for couples getting engaged or celebrating an anniversary. It is very suitable for families seeking some luxury and pampering. It's the ideal place for a business to celebrate relationships or consummation of a transaction. There's probably no better place to take out of town friends and family. This restaurant is priced reasonably if you stick with the main course dinners. Once you start down the path of liquors, wines, appetizers, and desserts, it can spiral over the fiscal cliff. :*) ....and they DO have an extensive wine cellar. We love the place but keep it real by going on very special occasions.

“Beautiful surroundings and excellent food”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

I was here for a business dinner. I was very impressed with the gardens and the 'critters' that call La Caille home. I wish the weather had been conducive to dining outdoors, but it was damp and chilly.

The service was quite good, the drinks were expertly prepared. The food was excellent. I had lobster bisque and a beef dish which was so tender, I did not need a knife.

I had the beignets for dessert -- having just had the real deal in NOLA, I can sadly say they were a disappointment in comparison. But everything else about the meal and atmosphere was top notch, and I'd highly recommend either for a large group, or a romantic dinner.

Be sure to wander about the place and check out the artwork throughout the stairwell, and especially see the third floor and walk about the balcony.

“Once in a lifetime”

The setting, service, and food were very good. A former roommate and his family provided a gift certificate. Otherwise, the prices would have put it out of our reach.

“What's the hype about here>”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

This place is incredibly over-priced. Fortunately, I wasn't paying, but I couldn't recommend this place, it's way too expensive for what it has to offer.
