I should have booked through one of the on-line booking companies instead of going to the web page ($103 + tax). My problem with them is that they charge you immediately, not giving slack for change of plans. Anyway,
The room was larger than expected but without a desk. The beds were comfortable, the young lady at the desk friendly and helpful (and apparently works a long schedule). The TV and remote worked fine. The re-made bathroom is tiny with a grab bar for someone in the tub (who uses a tub except to wash children?) but no grab bar for us seniors who have to reach for the shower curtain bar above, which for the very first time ever in the Chinese take-over of the US motel rooms was designed for 7'1" Yao Ming instead of a 4'2" gymnast.
We have a gripe that's not the room's fault. We went out for breakfast then for a round of golf, returning at 1:45 in the afternoon. The room wasn't made up; towels, trash, beds, etc. HOWEVER the $5.50 tip for the housekeeper was gone. Frankly, this pissed us off.
