I should have booked through one of the on-line booking companies instead of going to the web page ($103 + tax). My problem with them is that they charge you immediately, not giving slack for change of plans. Anyway,

The room was larger than expected but without a desk. The beds were comfortable, the young lady at the desk friendly and helpful (and apparently works a long schedule). The TV and remote worked fine. The re-made bathroom is tiny with a grab bar for someone in the tub (who uses a tub except to wash children?) but no grab bar for us seniors who have to reach for the shower curtain bar above, which for the very first time ever in the Chinese take-over of the US motel rooms was designed for 7'1" Yao Ming instead of a 4'2" gymnast.

We have a gripe that's not the room's fault. We went out for breakfast then for a round of golf, returning at 1:45 in the afternoon. The room wasn't made up; towels, trash, beds, etc. HOWEVER the $5.50 tip for the housekeeper was gone. Frankly, this pissed us off.

I was pleasantly surprised at the hotel. For the price I was not expecting much but it was fine. The room was definitely not luxury but no issues. The pool was nice, especially this time of year when it's in the 80s. Breakfast was pretty much like most other hotels like this.

Maybe I was just in a bad mood, but its just another one of those cracker box, cram as many people as you can into a small space. Only do what you absolutely have to to remain competitive. The beds were hard as rocks. Pool was small. Internet was spotty and very slow. The TV must use the internet for service. Towels are as small as possible. Breakfast was how with the faux scrambled eggs and either bacon or sausage. The absolute worst part are the the box cooling heating systems. Rooms get hot if only under the fan, but roars all night when you put the cool on. Everything was just.... meh. I would have given an average rating, but the prices for the rooms were rather hiked up for spring break.

Dear Mike,

We would love for all of our guests to arrive happy and leave in an even better mood. We're sorry to hear that you were not impressed with Quality Inn South Bluff during your recent stay. It sounds like you didn't get the best night's sleep due to a hard bed and uncomfortable room temperature. For this, we apologize. On top of this, you didn't find the hotel to be a good value for the money which makes the complaints that much more upsetting which we understand. We try hard to make sure all of our guests are well taken care of and happy at all times. We're sorry if you didn't feel this way. We would appreciate another opportunity to provide you with the accommodations you expected.

On our way through Nevada and Utah and didn't want to stop in Vegas. This motel is just an hour or so north in a really nice little town; it accepts pets (for $25 extra), has outside corridors (easy to park and walk the dog), refrigerator and microwave. Lots of restaurants, gas stations and other motels in this area, easy on/off I-15. Nice staff. Solid breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.
