For many years we stayed at the what is now the Amira Resort and Spa in St. George, Utah. They recently changed ownership and so we thought we’d spend a couple of nights and see what changed. The new reception area is charming and welcoming. They still have the same spacious elegant rooms – with a small private outdoor patio for reading/relaxing. We stayed in a King room but took a look at the Suites while we were there. All the rooms are simply gorgeous – spacious, tastefully decorated and comfortable and the suites are extraordinary. The suites offer a living room, spa room and extra large bathroom.
Nights are quiet, the bed is extremely comfortable and there are no parking lot lights shining in the room, perfect for getting a great nights sleep.
The pools are large, crystal clear and inviting. No matter which room you have, you can walk out of your private patio and be at one of the pools. The cabanas and landscaping around the pools feels refreshing compared to the typical concrete jungle puddle offered by other hotels.
Overall, the Amira is a wonderful space to stay and unwind with a great attention to detail. The manager, Richard, was very gracious. Elegant, luxurious and tranquil atmosphere. Highly recommended.More
