“Fine for an overnight stay”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2012

We stayed at this Days Inn for one night on the way from Palm Springs to the National Parks in Utah. We paid about $60 for a suite with a kitchenette, room 218. At check-in we were told that there were no cooking utensils, pots or pans because these were always stolen. That was not a problem for us but they should mention this on their website or when you book a room with a kitchenette. I can imagine people arriving at the hotel with the intention of cooking their own meal only to find that they have nothing to work with. The suite is big, has a nice view, two TV's, good A/C and a good bed. WiFi worked great and has basic WEP-encryption. Some of the furniture looked a little dirty but on closer examination was only worn down. That goes for the entire hotel, it is in need of some updating although I believe that is being done. The bathroom was clean and the shower worked just fine, plenty of water and good drainage. Breakfast is standard Continental with bread, bagels, cornflakes, OJ (from a machine), coffee,... You can also bake your own waffles.

All in all this place was fine for a one-night stopover but I wouldn't stay here for a longer period of time.

Room Tip: After reading the other reviews I would definately advise you ask for a suite.

This Days Inn is about as average as you can get. Nothing really bad (e.g. no bedbugs, ok carpets, small bathroom, so-so beds, loud air conditioner, etc...) The place was noisy at night (do not get a unit that faces the pool if you want quiet.) The "free" breakfast is a disaster unless you get there really early. The Wifi was great and included!

Room Tip: If you have to use the elevator, you may want to consider another Motel - this one is dingy and very...

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Hotel was filthy, and unsafe. Door to room wouldn't lock, room smelled to the point you had to have the window open, even then the stench was awful. The carpet were dirty and by dirty I mean if you took your socks off the bottom of your feet were black. You would have thought my 4 year old was walking around barefoot in the street. There was zero hot water. The tub didn't drain my 2 minute cold shower had water up past my ankles. Our room had trash left on the floor from the prevoius tenants. The evlevator smelled of urine and feces. Stay away from this hotel!! Did I mention the bed bugs?

The bed linens were changed once in the seven nights I stayed here. Contenintal breakfast was corn flakes plain or frosted, brown or white bread, bagels, individually wrapped sweet rolls, hard-boiled eggs, apples, coffee, tea, apple or orange juice

Very convenient location, just off the interstate on Saint George Street. If the continental breakfast selection is getting low, just let them know and they will resupply. See tips below. If we happen to be in Saint George when there is a big sports tournament, room prices are higher so we then stay in Hurricane, Utah, just s few miles away.

Room Tip: This is on a hill so rooms on the second floor are at the parking lot level. Lobby is on the first...

For about $50 a night (including a pet) we didn't expect too much and for the most part were pleased.

Positives: on a hill so great views, extra comfy bed with freshly laundered bed spread, big TV with simple remote and lots of channels, easy check-in and out, free sample stuff in lobby, toilet room separate from sink, no neighbor noise and very little city noise, great location close to everything in town, in-room controlled heat/AC was easy and quiet.

Negatives: small room, mismatched furniture too large for the room, clean enough but could be better, ratty towels, lumpy foam pillows (although there were plenty of them), totally inadequate pet area...red dirt and it was raining, yuck.

We did not try the breakfast but it looked to be the typical cheap motel continental breakfast....coffee was good though.

This was a quick trip to do some personal business and not a vacation so this motel was a good choice. I probably wouldn't stay here on vacation but then I live two hours away so the only time I stay in St. George is for business. All in all I would stay again.
