The short tour was very interesting and they catered to the kids, which is a plus. There is no cost for the tour.

I just didn't find it all that interesting. A local pioneer from Switzerland originally if I remember correctly and not much else.

Although off the beaten path just a short way when traveling from Vegas to Zion, this is a sweet little historical spot that has been well kept up, has lots of history, and even that interesting tidbit about where one puts the extra wives of early Mormon history. The guides are, like most church-sponsored docents, a little over the top in gooey niceness, but the trip is well worth the time and only takes a short drive into Santa Clara from I-15.

Even if you do not know about the history of the Later Day Saints, even if you are of a different Religion, this is a nice experience. Lovely drive from St Goerge. Then once you arrive, you are greeted by people wearing clothing of that time. They will answer any questions (and more) .. not pushy at all.. they like sharing and it shows. It is amazing to have the real thing right there. Be in the moment and know what it was like for the pioneers.
