“Delicious authentic Mexican, do not be put off by the location”
Reviewed May 29, 2010

We were passing St. Georfe and came to Irmita's by of the great Tripadvisor rating. To be honest, I was hesitant about the location, inside a convenience store. We decided to take a look at the menu anyway, and I am glad we did. Irmita's serves absolutely delicious, very authentic Mexican cuisine. The kitchen is clean, the food is great, and they have a fun little seating area. Also, the price is right. It was so good we made a point to eat there again on our return trip through St. George. I'm hoping Irmita's can hold on through tough times and find another location with a little more ambiance soon. In the meantime, do not miss this diamond in the rough.

“Great food great price”
Reviewed July 14, 2009

My husband is Mexican and loves his food, and he loved this, and so did I, everything was authentic. Only problem was too much food on the patter, there was enough for 2 people to fill up on one of the platters.

“same great food, lousy new location”
Reviewed March 9, 2009

Irmita's has moved again, now inside a Shell gas station at 795 E. 700 South St. Their food is soooo good, but their old grass hut sure beats this yukky Shell station. Next time, I will definately get the food to go. At least they found a place to land, better than them going out of business. Excellent mexican fare.

“Irmita's new digs”
Reviewed October 12, 2007

The down home ambiance of the grass hut is gone, but the food is still top-notch. We had to stop at Red Rock Bikes to ask where the little grass hut had gone. Turns out Irmita's found a new home as the food outlet in a Shell gas station (East 700 South). They are about to open a new place up on Sunset, but until then the ambiance is less than desireable. That said, don't let it keep you from the food, which is fresh, clean and soul fulfilling!
