We visited the Painted Pony for lunch. The house salad was one of the freshest we have ever had and the vinagrette dressing was phenomenal. We had the brisket sandwich with gruyere cheese melted on it . . . it was one of the best lunches we have ever had. We ordered the Key Lime pie for dessert. The flavor was perfect, not too sweet . . . letting just the right amount of the lime flavor to come through.
We would have liked to have dinner there, but our schedule didn't permit. The restaurant is located on the top floor of a building which is part of a group of stores.businesses in downtown St. George. Ask for a table by the window, as there are nice views down to the courtyard below.
The dinner menu looked offered an interesting variety of appetizers and entrees. I have to assume that dinner would have been to the same standard as was our lunch.
