This is not a elegant motel, This is a basic motel, right in the center of town, we felt very safe. quiet, no traffic noise at all. It is clean, well staffed. free parking, It has a very nice clean pool, and spa. The continetal breakfast was good, except the bananas were not ripe/.........Hirem the manager is so accomodating.....we had a room for pets......the price was great......$45.00 per night. plus tax.....the rooms are actually quite large, we had a sofa and king size bed, and a smalll table and two chairs........and still had lots of room.....Hubert and Yvonne Harms, and dog Emma

We needed a weekend away and wanted to take the dog with us. I called ahead of time to be sure our large breed dog would be welcome and was impressed with the staff member I spoke with, so we booked the room at a very low rate and hoped for the best. Upon arriving I learned that hotels.com did not give the option of reserving a pet room but staff found a room for us and were very friendly. The room is just what we expected, not anything special but clean and comfortable. We brought our own pillows b/c I never expect good pillows, and we were glad we did. The bed was comfortable enough, but not top quality. We slept comfortably and enjoyed the cable TV and internet access (although it was spotty at times). We were told there was a map of the area and do not disturb sign in the room but had to ask at the front desk for them when we couldn't find them. The staff was again friendly and helpful. The breakfast was not up to our standards. It is open until 10am but by the time we got there at 9am or so it needed to be restocked (which they did) and the milk and OJ were warm. There were 2 kinds of cereal, some bland bread and bagels and some apples. We found the Bear Paw Cafe on Main St. 2 1/2 blocks away and LOVED their big breakfasts. Also on Main St was Benja Thai & Sushi which was AMAZING (get there early-there will be a wait)! We loved being right in downtown for meals and it was great to have a mini fridge and microwave in the room for heating up leftovers for a midnight snack. Snow Park has a dog park (head south down 400 E turn right on 900 S) that provided great exercise for our dog and a chance to meet some wonderful, friendly locals. We enjoyed hiking Zion NP for one day (less than 60 min drive dogs are allowed on ONE flat trail), spent a day shopping and exploring St. George (the Outlets are a bit disappointing) and hiked the red rock bluffs directly north of downtown with the dog (drive up Main St, turn left at dead end, turn right at dead end, park in one of three lots on left, then EXPLORE and climb). We do not recommend the Iceberg restaurant for icecream. The "milkshakes" were softserve icecream with ingredients barely blended in-not worth the $. We later found the Bluebunny ice cream parlor on Main St-a much better option. Overall our stay was GREAT. We will definitely consider staying there on our next trip to St George, especially if we take the dog. Being a motel, there was lots of doorslamming noise in the morning, right outside of the door, but we turned the a/c unit on and couldn't hear any outside noise over the rumble of the machine, if you like white noise. There isn't much grass for dogs to use since everything is paved for parking, but a walk around the block every morning and evening seemed to work for our dog.

Great service, We stayed here last Sunday, and found it delightful. Clean room, good breakfast, and a fabulous price! So here we are again, It is Wednesday night. We parked for free right in front of the room. Nice!

We are traveling through St. George again, and went right to the Super 8. We got the same low price, and again, the room is really nice. Fridge and microwave worked great. All the rooms have them. I'm using the free Internet now. EASY. The bed is king sized. We are not talking a 5 star resort here, but if you want a clean, pleasant place to stay in Saint George, this would be it.

We were appalled at the conditions at the supposed "GuestHouse International Inn & Suites" - which is how they advertise online. The room was converted from a storage room. There was human hair on the ceiling in the shower, filth and trash under the bed (which I found when I had to plug the lamp in), no towel bars by the sink, a rank smell to the room and stains all over the carpet (don't take off your shoes). The extended continental breakfast was never resplenished and they didn't keep up on the coffee. As well their walls and ceiling are paper thin - allowing you to hear every footstep from above. I would never stay there and encourage you to look elsewhere in St. George to stay - there are plenty of other choices!!

  • Liked — That I only had to stay there one night
  • Disliked — It's lack of cleanliness

This is our second stay at the former Singletree now converting to Super 8. We chose this motel due to their pet friendly policy, but would not hesitate to stay here even without our pet.
This motel is a couple of miles off of the I-15 in central St. George. Thus it does not have highway noise. They are currently in a renovation project and our room was partly renovated with everything updated except the bathtub-shower. Again, just an ordinary motel that seems to be well run with efficient, but not overly friendly staff, possibly family run. Free wifi and an ordinary continental breakfast were added benefits.

  • Liked — value + pet friendly
  • Disliked — typical motel type room

Not sure why people are giving this place such good ratings. Got there late (2 AM), so all we really needed to do was sleep for a few hours. Shower had visible mold growing in it. Toilet clogged. Phone didn't work, although staff warned us of this ahead of time. Staff was fine... not overly firendly, but not rude either. Beds were adequate. We would have stayed somewhere nicer but had pets with us, so had to stay here. Not the greatest place, but you can't expect much for $50.

This place is under renovations, half the rooms are torn up and the outside walkways are filthy with stains and were sticky. Our room was dirty with old re-used furniture that should have been thrown out. The floor light did'nt work, the towel bar wouldn't stay on the wall, trash on the floor and the head board was smashed with hair stuck to it!!! Forget breakfast... we checked out early. Did I mention the cockroaches and the funny smell ?!!!!
