Our family enjoyed a sunset trail ride with Matt and his son Isaac in Snow Canyon. The scenery in Snow Canyon is wonderful and did not require any "edge-of-the-cliff" riding. The horses were very well-mannered and sure-footed. Everyone in our family, from experienced rider to inexperienced (usual) observer, was very comfortable. Matt and Isaac were helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

Have no fear, this ride is pretty much for all level levels. From the very beginning wrangle Matthew will put your mind at ease by matching you up with a steed which will suit your skill. He will give all a brief lesson on the ins and outs of how to maneuver your trusty mount, then off you go into Snow Canyon.

If you enjoy scenery you might just be in for a treat. There were many different rock formations, types of trees and shrubs, we even saw a couple of foxes on our ride. Matthew does an excellent job of winding you in and out of some lovely areas and keeping things light while giving some excellent insight into the things you see in your surroundings. You will stop briefly for some very nice photo opportunities.

This company rarely takes more than six on their trail rides. I find this helps keep things on a much more personal and enjoyable level.

The two hours flew by as I personally find this to be a very relaxing experience.

It was a nice way to see the scenery, the horses were a little slow and elderly acting. Couldn't really hear what the guide was saying. My children had a fun time.

The terrain In Snow Canyon is primarily Navajo sandstone and lava rock. This type of terrain prevents the horses from traveling at a rate of speed. They must be careful where and how they step so as not to dislodge their rider or misstep and injure themselves. The Park's terrain does not allow for an "adventurous" ride and the Park rules do not allow us to provide such types of rides. We strive to provide a safe and enjoyable ride for our guests to view the spectacular scenery of the park. As a consequence, we maintain a zero claim record in 12 years of operation. We encourage riders wanting another type of riding experience to contact outfitters on private lands, as they are not restricted by Government rules on Public Lands on how they operate their horse rides. We hope this explanation helps others with planning their horse riding activity in the area.

The trail ride was amazing! The scenery was beautiful and the tour guide was fun and informative. He knew a lot about the area, how the bluffs and rock formations were formed as well as local vegitation. It's a great ride for riders of all experience levels.
