A short jaunt on a paved trail will bring you to the base of a massive waterfall. Still frozen in some areas the falls still crash down over what seems to be hundreds of feet. If you are in the area I recommend you stop by here and check it out. Note: watch out for bikers. There is a seperate bike trail from the walking trail but not all of the bikers take it. Also this is a perfct place for picnics. Tip. Make sure you visit in late spring because snowfall prevents most visitors from being ablr to park and walk the small trail.

Bridal Veil Falls used to be quite the attraction: It had a tram and dance hall at the top and a gift shop across a bridge at the base. But an avalanche or two laid waste to it all. Now there are mangled ruins (mostly cleared away at this point) and a waterfall. It's a nice place for a stroller stroll and a picnic along the paved river trail, and there's a little trail climbing for those who want to ascend 50 feet or so up the mountain. But it's not what it used to be. Definitely worth a visit if you have time and want a cool evening up the canyon. Expect crowds pretty much whenever you go.

We stopped here as a break on our way to Salt Lake City from the Canyonlands. It was a bit farther off the highway than trip advisor said it was but well worth the trip. *Note: The trails are suppose to be closed seasonally although it seems few adhere to the signs.
We took the pleasant walk up the paved path to the falls. Prefect to stretch your legs and then we continued up to the base of the falls- a decently climb on a rough trail. Kids would love the fish pond at the base of the mountain. Bring a quarter to feed the fish! Great stop and its free!!!

We didn't hike around the falls but lots of people were. We parked and took a few pics. I'd like to go back again.
