“New York Pie for Half New York Prices!”

Ranked #159 of 359 Restaurants in Provo
Price range: $6 - $14
Description: A hand stretched, thin crust, New York Style Pizza place. We make all our food from scratch. We start with local flour from Lehi Roller Mills, cheese and cream from Rosehill Dairy in Ogden, and our sausage is made in Tooele and cooked here. All of our vegetables are fit by hand and cooked before they go on your pizza. Because caramelized onions, roasted peppers and sauteed mushrooms just taste better. We make our tomato sauce in house, with tomatoes from a single county in California. Stanislaus County grows the finest tomatoes in the country, and they are picked ripe and canned with in six hours, to guarantee the best flavor. We may have a silly name, but we are serious about pizza.

Chef Chad Pritchard is the Fat Daddy. He's run every kind of restaurant you can imagine, but for now, he's focused on bringing the local community the best New York-style pizza you'll find in Utah (which is not exactly world-famous for pizza).
You'll love the menu -- there's a story behind every Pie. The Frankie-One-Eye (Chad's dad); The Tough Guy (was the John Wayne but the estate of the late-actor threatened to sue; or The Pig on Vacation (Chad's idea of a slammer Hawaiian Pie).
Modest prices, great hand-made pies, and a fun place to eat if you can find it hidden back behind Taylor's Bike Shop off Freedom Blvd just South of University Pkwy.
On my last visit with a friend, we hung around, ate the whole pie, and watched a movie on Fat Daddy's TV. What a gas.

Prefer Fat Daddy’s over the pizza buffets. Love the thin crust, toppings are perfect. So delish, will be coming back!
