“Best hotel for the price!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2013 via mobile

This hotel is soo nice! It looks brand new even though it's 4 years old. Staff is great, breakfast was delicious, and had the best waffles ever! Only complaint is how loud the front door to each room closes.

I arrived at the Sprinhill Suites in Provo,UT to a very pleasant welcome. I was told about free breakfast offered in the morning and the amenities. There was no restaurant to eat on property so they recommended the cafe across the property parking lot located in the other Marriott property. When I got to my room I noticed that there were two bathroom areas. In one area there a a toilet and sink but no soap. In the other bathroom there was one bar of soap. So there was no shower bar and no soap for after using the bathroom. You would have to go back and forth. I am not certain if that was a housekeeping oversight but you will want to check that when you get in the room. They forgot my request for a feather free room, but quickly sent housekeeping up with replacements. The water pressure was adequate in the shower and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The room had a small fridge, microwave and desk area. Unfortunately, I have noticed in the Springhills that there was no recycle bin which has become very common in other Marriott properties. That seems strange give their obvious conveniences to business travelers who may have paperwork to recycle and the kitchen area that lends itself to having things that may need recycled. The heat the room was a loud heater on the floor by the window like a motel that kicks on and off. It was so loud I had to keep turning TV up then down to coincide with the heater. Likely same issue when you use the air conditioning. Nice reading lights at head of bed but no plugs near bed for phone chargers which can be inconvenient. In the desk area, the plugs on desk lamp work but none of the additional plugs on desk were in operating order. Overall it was s very clean, nice room. Very big with couch, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. I was only in the area one night and left early in the morning so I can't speak to the convenience of the area other than to say there were many chain restaurants nearby and the views in the area are spectacular. BYU is also incredibly close as is the highway to other areas. If you found this review helpful, please give me your helpful vote.

Room Tip: I was on the top floor and the last room on right. Avoid that one to avoid the loud heater :)

Stayed here for 2 nights, and found this hotel to be very pleasant. Room very spacious, with bathroom and a separate toilet room - smart idea, particularly if two people are staying in the room. Big flat tv, nice decor, microwave, fridge, and free wifi in the room. Pleasant work area, good lighting, bed very nice, quiet room, and the hotel altogether had a very impressive aesthetic design. All details well thought out, from floor covering to wall paintings to pictures. Truly tasteful. There is a pool and a gym in the hotel, but I did not use them. Lobby has two computer terminals, free printing. Breakfast included, nice, but standard: cereals, eggs, ham, beef biscuit, waffles, etc. Some fruit apart from bananas and some desert would have been nice. How about some cheese? Pile of free newspaper in the lobby, but only US Today, why not the local newspaper? Location: close to the BYU campus. I could even walk to a larger shopping area (tip: walk across the street, west, meander through the neighborhood, and voila. You cannot get lost, and it's only ca. 10 minutes on foot). One small drawback: no alcohol in the hotel, there was no minibar, and the hotel had no liquor license, so I could not ask for a wine or a beer. The hotel right next door is supposed to have a regular restaurant. Good parking in front of hotel. Staff very friendly and efficient. Everything very clean, except for the elevator.

We have stayed at the Springhill in Provo many times, but have never rated them. We have always been impressed with the courtesy they give us. The rooms are always clean, the pool is great, and the breakfast is maintained very well. This is our first choice when we go to Provo for any activity.

Stayed here for 2 nights recently for a business trip. I was quite impressed with the service provided by the staff. The front desk made an effort to know who I was and even had things like a complimentary shuttle ready for me before I even had to ask. They really made me feel welcome everytime they saw me. The room was spacious and clean. Very comfortable. I was in a corner room. Separate toilet/sink and shower/sink bathrooms. Really liked the glass shower door with the extra showerheads. Fast wifi in the room. The only downside was that it was right next to the street and I had to use earplugs to block out the noise of cars all night long. I also got a bit cold in the middle of the night and had to add an extra blanket over the comforter. Maybe it was a bit thin. Breakfast provided (6:30-9:00) had pretty much everything necessary. Eggs/omelettes, waffles, oatmeal with several toppings, cereal, fruit, sausage, canadian bacon, various bread, etc. Work station near the lobby was two computers connected to a printer. Easy to use. Rest of lobby is open. Workout area (open 24 hrs) next to the lobby was small but sufficient. Treadmill, elliptical, weights, bench, towel, water. Small pool in the room next door. Overall great stay for the price. Had pretty much everything I needed for a business trip plus a bit more.

We stayed 1 night on our way north. Everything was perfect. The room was spotless. The staff was professional and helpful. The breakfast had everything you could want and was quite good. We will definitely be back. We travel quite a bit and usually stay in more upscale resorts. SpringHill Suites is an excellent value.

This hotel is exceedingly below Marriott standards. For the record, we are fans of the Marriott chains for the high standard accomodations and suite style rooms they excel in. This particular location was dissapointing, I was completely shocked because of all the misleading 5 star reviews I had seen on Tripadvisor. Says a lot about who might be writing them.

Sofabed is the smallest Ive seen, 2 petitie girls can definitely not fit on it. Mattress was the usual terrible coils digging into your back kind, typical of all sofabeds. But this bed is definitely smaller than even a double bed. Bathroom layout was terrible. Toilet section opens directly in front of one of the queen beds. Great smells for you to enjoy while you are relaxing. Shower and second sink are in a seperate area whose door opens directly in front of the other queen bed. Really??? But the bathrooms were clean and spotless. The mini kitchen was nothing more than microwave and mini fridge. NO SINK. There was a slight smell in our room, like socks, but thank god only slightly noticeable. The bedding on the beds was another baffling discovery. The comforter is like not even the thickness of a very thin blanket. Is that even a comforter? And there were no blankets in the room either except for one for the sofabed. It being the middle of winter, we room serviced for 6 blankets and they were gracious enough to provide it without any questions asked. Though we stayed on a Monday night, when much of the parking lot was deserted, the front desk clerk managed to place us in a room with the nearby tire shop as our view, rather than the beautiful mountains surrounding the property on the other three sides. Genius! Breakfast was not up to par, no oatmeal, egg omelettes had slightly hard crusty edges indicating they had been warmed far past their capability, no potatoes. Breakfast was stingy and reheated and it showed. The hotel is 3-4 miles into the city off the exit, so a little bit of a drive. Judging from the reviews on this page, I am down right confused at how below standard this hotel really was compared to what other reviewers have described. No marriott Ive ever stayed in has been this lacking before. Sad to say but this location needs new management, a tear down, or just plain remove the marriott name and be honest about the quality you're actually providing.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms facing the wasatch mountains, NOT the tire shop.
