I go on a father/son ski trip each year. My dad owns a Marriott timeshare unit and we love Park City (over Vail and Tahoe). We have been to Park City 4 years and we have stayed at Summit Watch for 3 of them (we stayed at Mountainside the other year). Needless to say, Summit Watch is perfectly situated. You are at the end of Main Street...and this where all the action is. Sure, it's a nice walk up Main Street after a long day of skiing to get to restaurants, shops, etc...but, it's well worth it.

The rooms have been recently renovated. They are VERY nice. Two bedrooms with a gas fireplace in the middle. The stove, fridge, and everything have been upgraded...mostly stainless steel now. Very nice touches...they have done a great job. Even the beds are comfortable.

The location gives you direct access to the Town Lift...which is really about a 1/2 block walk...very close, very convenient. If you want to ski Deer Valley or The Canyons, you can hop on a shuttle...easy to get around. We do rent a vehicle now so we just drive, but truthfully, the shuttle is fine.

I have not been to Summit Watch 'off ski season' so I cannot comment about the Spring/Summer/Fall months, but for ski season, Summit Watch is a great place to stay. The staff is always very helpful, and the rooms are clean and well-maintained. You simply cannot go wrong with this location!

After careful review of other travelers, my husband and I decided on Marriott Summit Watch in Park City for our summer vacation. We were very pleased with everything about the Summit Watch. Since this is a timeshare location we were aware of the possibility of being bothered with sales personal. It never happened! We also are aware that daily maid service isn't going to happen. We did our food shopping at A Fresh Market (formerly Albertsons) and at Walmart which is out of the way off I-80.
The resort offers lots of on site activities designed for kids. They also offer a tour into Salt Lake City on Thursday evenings to visit the Mormon Temple Square and listen to the Tabernacle Choir practice. That's worth the money.
The condo we had was a 1 bedroom villa. There's a full kitchen, fireplace, whirlpool bath in the master suite, very comfortable bed, lots of closet space, washer and dryer. We always hear people say how thin the walls are in these places. Either our hearing is poor or our neighbors have always been exceptionally quiet because we have never had an issue with noise. Our unit overlooked Main Street. There are only a couple of drawbacks to the Summit Watch and this is only because we have stayed at other timeshares that have these options: one is a balcony and the other is the distance to the activities center which houses the swimming pool and three hot tubs. The pool and hot tubs are wonderful! We are use to being in a closer proximity to the pool. Summit Watch is set up like a small village. The condos are on top of restaurants and shops, so there is a wide open area for public walking. The activities center is room keyed so at least only the guest are allowed in. We were staying in the Alpine building which is one of the farthest from the pool.
We were there July 2-9, 2011. Park City has a marketplace event every Sunday in the summer on Main Street they call Park Silly. It was fun to be able to open the windows and listen to the music of the local entertainers! On Monday was the 4th of July parade. They go all out with this one. It's followed by a city wide event in the city park.
Park City's bus service is free! It was started with the Olympics in 2002 and since it was such a hit they kept it and expanded it. It's very user friendly. There is also a Main Street Trolley that is free.
The weather this time of the year in Park City is wonderful, compared to Kansas. We really enjoyed the low 80's temperature and no humidity.
There is so much to do in Park City as long as you are willing to be outside. There are hiking/biking trails and even a very well attended skate park. We took advantage of the free summer concerts that were going on almost every evening. The ski lifts are available for riding to the top of various mountains. You can hike, just hang out, rent a mountain bike and take a thrill ride down the mountain ( which we didn't do!)
Park City might be considered a winter destination but it's also a good summer destination.

Room Tip: Main street rooms offer the excitement of the city street.

We stayed overnight here on our way to the salt lake city airport from Jackson, WY. The summer rates were reasonable and the condo was clean and roomy. The location is right on main street in park city which is ideal for shopping, food, and skiing in the winter.

The pool opened at 8 which allowed our kids to get a swim in before the flight home. Although we were just passing through, I saw that they had a lineup of activities for the day scheduled. It was a very nice place to stay in park city.

This was our second trip back to the Summit Watch - first time was 2003. Though starting to show some signs of age, it is still a lovely facility, spotlessly clean and with super comfortable beds. We would highly recommend Marriott Summit Watch. We always count on Marriott for a good night's sleep and very clean facilities.

Room Tip: Higher floor-facing Deer Valley Dr - creekside

We only had two days in Park City so location was essential. Marriott Summit Watch was perfect. Right on Main Street with all the restaurants and our room was a 2 minute walk to the Town Lift. You would only use the lift once a day as it was long and slow but served it's purpose on getting you on the mountain. We briefly went in to the resort centre and were glad we didn't stay there. We had a guest bedroom in the Alpine Building. It was very large with a big double bed, a sofa (I assume a sofa bed) and a kitchenette with fridge/freezer and microwave. Only dissapointment was the lack of kettle, although it did have a coffee maker. Outdoor hot tubs were fab. I would 100% recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed ourselves very much, great hotel, wonderful and helpful staff. We were in a condo facing the mountain, woke up to 8 inches of snow and 11 degree weather! BURR!! Would recommend for anyone, you are able to walk to lots of shops and restaurants. The whiskey distillery is very interesting and worth the money for the tour and tasting! Olympic village is a must to see! So touching! The outlet mall in Park City is worth the trip also! We were there for a week and would love to return someday soon!

We have stayed several times, at different times of the year at the Summit Watch. We just love it. The one bedroom suites are large, with full kitchens, and the beds are very comfy. The whole place is clean, and the location is perfect for just walking out to Main Street.

We prefer to stay during off season, which means no snow so the hotels drop their rates. The restaurants in the area take some time off in May, about two weeks I believe, so there isn't a lot open but the business owners are trying to change that and attract customers year round.

Nearby is Kimball Junction, where everything is open year round, so, if we can't find something open in Old Town, we just drive over there.

If you're looking for a romantic and quiet getaway in a beautiful setting, close to shopping, and restaurants, this is the place. We especially like heading out on the brisk spring or fall mornings to the top of Main Street to the Morning Star Cafe for breakfast.
