“Beautiful Suite But No Pool/Jacuzzi”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

Stayed in a beautiful two bedroom suite for a week in August for a family vacation. The 1,200 sq ft suite was one of the largest we'd stayed in--three gas fireplaces, three bathrooms, three TVs, great sized kitchen/dining/living room and a washer and dryer. Actually, half way through our stay, I realized the suite actually had another stack on top washer/dryer combo in another closet! Nic at the front desk was very helpful with hiking trails, board games, directions. The only problem was the the pool and spa were closed for the entire time we were there, which was a real let down, since our room did not have a view and was on the same level as the pool. We were allowed to swim at a sister property--The Grand Summit, but it was a hike up the road in our swim suits which was a little odd. Not to mention that it felt like we were sneaking in to use their pool. So the pool situation was a super bummer, but the overall experience was good. The location of the property at the Canyons is lovely. Hike and bike right from the resort. Aspen trees on the trails were one of the highlights of the trip for me. There was also a free outdoor concert one night at the resort. I didn't think the gondola was worth the $15 per person they charge and the restaurant at the top wasn't that impressive. Go to Olympic Park and get the day passes. That was awesome! (Hint for Silverado--upgrade the bed sheets to 100% cotton--it matters!)

Room Tip: We stayed in 104 a, b & c. This suite is very beautiful and is on the same level and faces into...

For the moderate price, the hotel is adequate. The front desk is helpful and everything was clean. We used the conference space and service was prompt with decent food. The room is just okay with a very small bathroom and a horrible shower. I am 5'6" and at the same height as the shower head. The travel size blow dryer provided overheated in five minutes. The bed was comfy, but polyester blend sheets and the smallest, cheapest pillows ever. Hey, it's not the Ritz Carlton. For the price, a decent value.

We stayed at the Silverado because it was close to the slopes, but I had no idea that the room would be so amazing! It was HUGE! It had a kitchen and a living room area and three spate bedroom with three bathrooms! we were able to fit two families of five into this room which was really a suite. It is the best hotel I have ever stayed in and I loved staying there and was heartbroken when I had to leave. Not only was the room amazing, but also they gave us free shuttles up to the mountain and even into town! I will definitely go back if I have the chance.

We booked this hotel on a whim, and what a surprise it was!! We booked a package that included a gondola ride as well as a full breakfast. The price was quite reasonable, so I really didn't expect the room to be much to brag about. I was totally surprised!! The room was beautiful, the bathroom was a large glass shower with a jetted tub, and a balcony with a table and chairs. It was all very clean, as mentioned in prior reviews there were some stains on the carpet, but nothing that I would complain about. We arrived a 1:30 p.m. and didn't think we would be able to check in so soon, but thought we would try. The front desk staff was amazing, and we were able to get into the room with no problem. They could not have been nicer!! We are fairly local and have stayed at several places in Park City for quick weekend getaways, and I would definitely stay here again in the future!! it would make a great place to take the family, and will probably do so in the future!! A very nice place and a good value in the summer!! The breakfast was at the Red Pine Lodge at the Canyon's resort, and it was one of the best we have ever had!! I would recommend this hotel, as well as the Canyon's resort in general for anyone looking for a relaxing summer weekend!!

A grade up from the typical hotel experience: comfortable bed, clean bathroom, spacious. Fun place to stay on the fourth of July. We usually stay in the winter but the music and firework show by The Canyons Resort is worth a return. We have stayed at Silverado Lodge and the main building. If you want more than a hotel room the suites are spectacular and worth every penny. We will return again and again.

Stayed off-season, just before July 4. What a wonderful option. For less than the price of a budget hotel we had two-room suite with a kitchen that had more equipment in it than mine at home. Saved a ton eating breakfast in and making sandwiches for lunch. The living/dining room was great when I got up early and the wife slept in. Even the workout room was well-equipped. Comfiest hotel bed I've ever slept in too.

Very centrally located for my needs, and nice and cool up in the mountains (vs Salt Lake). Also, you can probably sneak into the nice pool at the hotel just up the hill.

Great hotel for the value with minor thingsssss.
PROS: 1 BR Suite...lovely décor ... stocked kitchen...2 full baths....down and upstairs living area...2 fireplaces....Great sauna....ok steam room....nice exercise area

CONS: the carpet in the hotel was horribly stained...especially in the suite...NO concierge...No Bellman...bus stop for return trips is at least a 20 minute wait..the stop is not on the main line....the bus comes but not as often as the main line buses...in addition it stops running earlier than the rest....therefore you will have to hike up the hill from the transit by the Seven Eleven store. Pillows on the bed HORRIBLE unless you like soft soft soft.

Overall.....Silverado Lodge is a good place to stay.
