“Homemade blue cheese potato chips!!!”
Reviewed January 27, 2013

I went here twice mainly for their homemade potato chips drizzled with blue cheese.

If you're looking for solid western/southern comfort food- this place is perfect. Meatloaf (which I'm usually not a fan of) was perfect. As were all the salads. The chicken fried chicken was a bit dry. The pork stew appetizer was a delicious beanless chili which I also enjoyed.

Def add this gem to your eat list! (Not a restaurant that uses open table but you can easily make RSVP on the day-of if you call!

“Wonderful dinner and atmosphere”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

We loved this restaurant. Cheese fondue and potato chips were amazing! Entrees of pork, meatloaf and trout were all very delicious. Don't forget to order the bread pudding. Unique drinks and warm setting. We even enjoyed the bathroom decor!

“Food okay, but not as great as we expected”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

the best part of this dinner were the appetizes...pomme fritz with blue cheese and cheese fondue. The shrimp dish was excellent, but would not recommend the beef ribs

The food here was quite creative and also very delicious. The Drinks were very expensive. The atmosphere is exotic. the Service was very personable and careful. many interesting starters, and a good variety of main courses.

“Great spot”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

I love this restaurant! The food is delicious and plentiful. The staff is uber-pleasant and willing to accomodate. Only been here during Sundance when some restaurants have jacked up their menu pricing for the occasion. The only difference at Purple Sage was that they wouldn't do corkage during the two weeks of the film festival. No big deal. The main floor dining room has that old silver mining town feel with modern classy decor. The upstairs is a bit more spartan, but nice for a large group as there is less noise and traffic. My first night of the festival favorite! Can't wait for next year!
