If you like seafood and have a spare $50 or so, DV's Seafood Buffet is definitely worth checking out. Lots of freshly flown in goodies - crab legs, oysters, clams, hot appetizer and main specials. They also have salads, prime rib, veggies etc so you could probably get your money's worth if you didn't eat seafood, but it'd be a shame to miss out on all those goodies....

“Another KensColumn Review”

Deer Valley has some of the most spectacular dining and lodging in the country. Not to mention fantastic service. Having said that stay away from the seafood buffet. Although we saw that it was highly rated the food was at best mediocre. What was missing frankly was seafood. No Lobster, No King Crab , No Fish soups etc although there was some beef stew available and a pasta dish as well as sliced beef. The amount of seafood was laughable .Particularly considering the price. So unless you just like the concept of a buffet. you need to visit the St Regis Aspen for an excellent seafood buffet.

“Expensive but good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2007

This was a a very fine seafood buffet and fairly priced at $56 per person considering the high quality and variety of selections. There were many good items, particularly the cold Dungenous crab legs, oysters (fried and fresh), shrimp salad, and 3 varieties of fish prepared in special sauces. They also had deliciousbarbucued baby back ribs, and a carving station of roast beef and duck breast. There were many other items, including some good deserts. Their winelist had some very nice selections. My only complaint was that the shrimp were at best medium sized and difficult to peel as well as not being devined. I guess I am a little spoiled, as at home we get much better shrimp. But overall, I would go back again.

“Best buffet in utah”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2006

I used to own three restaurants and this was easily the best seafood buffet I have ever experienced. The wait staff was very attentive and courteous. The eating crowd was nicely paced and controlled (they do not fill up every table, which would have made it a bit crowded at the buffet tables). The lodge, despite being a ski lodge in the day, was cleaned up and looked great (this is Deer Valley, after all). The food selections scrumptious and presentation pleasing to the eye. We went wild on the fresh oysters. The sushi was bland, but this isn’t a sushi bar and that was to be expected. Everything else, including the non-seafood choices (meat and chicken dishes), were excellent. Definitely worth the price (I think mine was $55 and my 9-year old was $24) and we will eat here again. I strongly recommended you make reservations.

“Great food after hitting the slopes”

we travel to Park City every year and make the Deer Valley Seafood Buffet a must do. My husband does not like seafood, but they always seem to have several beef choices that he thinks are great. You can check out the menu on-line. I can't think of much they don't serve in the way of great seafood.
