Description: Blind Dog's menu has a little something for everyone including soups & salads, vegetarian dishes, their famous mac and cheese, fresh fish, oysters, red meat, and of course, sushi. A former lumber company, the gorgeous interior, with lights, a grand piano, and beautiful table settings, sets the stage for the delicious and sophisticated dining experience they have to offer. Though there isn't a specific children's menu, the menu offers fabulous items to tempt the pickiest of eaters.

“Terrible experience - don't waste your time or money”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

Arrived for an early New Years reservation hoping for a great evening, unfortunately it was an awful experience. To start we ordered a bottle of champagne; they didn't have either of our first two choices. We then ordered appetizers; after 45 minutes our entrees arrived. When asked about or appetizers, "our sushi bar was too busy for your order and I forgot the other one - do you want them still (with entrees on the table). Wow! One of the orders was a surf and turf, rare. Steak had obviously been sitting under a warming light for a long time as it was well done and the plate was scalding hot. Too add insult to injury; we had to ask to have the items we didn't receive removed from our bill. Don't go, over-priced with poor service for the mediocre food.

“under-appreciated”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

Popped in here for a quick and simple dinner - sat in the bar area. Service was cheery and prompt....we ordered the fondue which was very good; liked the quality of bread for the toast tips, pickled vegetables, the potatoes were boiled to perfection for fondue. The Mac & Cheese was delicious (and far superior to the Mac & Cheese at the very fancy J & G Grill @ the St. Regis which tasted and looked like it was out of a Kraft macaroni box - egads - yuck!). Salads were yummy & huge (we could have split one)...the house margarita was divine (but on the small side)...would definitely go again but maybe not order so much food - and share some dishes...the wait staff was very attentive and cheery.

“Back on top”
Reviewed December 17, 2012

I have enjoyed Blind Dog over the years but like some of the reviews online, it was hit or miss the last couple of times. After dining recently, I am back to being a huge fan of Blind Dog. Their new expanded location is accomodating but intimate with a great collection of dog artist works. Excellent mixology on the cocktail list with interesting twists on old favorites like the Top Dog Margarita which features Patron, Agave, Fresh squeezed juices, and Black Salt rim. The sushi menu is now available in the dining room and it is excellent. The Hook Up was favorite which featured lobster and basil pesto drizzle. Eclectic menu is broad enough to make everyone in your group happy, great wait staff and service.

“Mixed Bag”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Starting with its name, which makes it sound like a jazz club, this is a place in search of an identity. It doesn't seem to know if it wants to be a hip bistro or an elegant dining spot. Because it has a very open feel there is not much distance between the dining area and the bar and the night I was there it had live entertainment. That, in turn, made for a very noisy situation. As for the food it was okay. Service was pleasant but slow. My main complaint was how rigid they were when it came to simple substituions. They have a shrimp dish over grits and when we asked if they could just put the shrimp on some lettuce or rice they said no (unless we were willing to pay an extra charge).
