After suffering 100+ degrees in Salt Lake City we decided to take the short trip up to Park City where the temperature is usually a bit cooler than in the city. Park City in the the ski region of Utah high in the mountains yet only 30 minutes from SLC. And because of the heat & the need to get away - are still here!
in the past 50 years I have eaten in some of the most famous & best restruarants in this Country & in Italy.
The Glitretind ranks in my Top 10 ! Yes, it's that good! it's located in the Deer Valley Resort in the Stein Erickson Lodge. The very talentedb & imaginary Chef - Zane Holmquist will more than please your palate with every course! Every item on the menu is fresh & prepared to order. while I enjoyed the Best cold melon soup that had a ting of Champain aded my wife enjoyed Maine Sea Scallops that she raved that it was the Best that she has ever experienced! for our Main Course she enjoyed Summer Halibut with young kale & sun choke salad, melted tomatoes & sea salt while I enjoyed the Kobe Specially prepared stew - it was Fantastic! The Desert was another story! The atmosphere - we ate outside looking out from the deck to the beautiful mountains. The Service was exceptional from start to finish. all in all it was a total experience that made this dinning experience for my wife & myself - Perfect!
