“Go when there's a full moon”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

Took my son for a drive up through Guardsman Pass and there was a full moon! Wow! Just as you drive up from the Big Cottonwood canyon side and near the top, there was the full moon. Amazing!

“Beautiful alpine lake”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

Just past the Montage resort is a turn off on the left before you head down the hill. There is a trail leading up to the top of the mountain and a trail to the left along the mountain. If you take the trail on the left you have about a mile walk through beautiful wildflowers ending at a beautiful alpine lake. Easy walk, saw lots of dogs enjoying it as well

“Want mountain beauty - don't miss this ride by car!”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

This is probably a little known secret that we were told about by locals. ride over Guardsman Pass was absolutely outstanding. Drove through gorgeous mountain passes, beautiful streams and rock formations. Drive slow and just enjoy. If you are a camera buff, every turn is a picture waiting to be enjoyed when you are back home. Especially the flat lands of Florida.

“Amazing drive!”
Reviewed July 26, 2013

If you have the time, drive this scenic road at dusk to look for wildlife. The views are amazing and the road was not very crowded.

“Beautiful views and wildflowers (in July)”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

From Park City up and over Empress Pass and Guardsman Pass, the views are spectacular. It's a dirt road after Empress pass but well graded and passable by any car (although we had a jeep). We continued on much farther into the national forest and state park and the view are wonderful. In July, the wildflowers are spectacular!
