Owner description: Located in the heart of the restaurants, hotels, nightlife and shopping of one of America's great ski towns, Park City Mountain Resort has something for every snow enthusiast: manicured groomers, ideal learning terrain, powder-filled bowls and some of the industry's most progressive terrain parks and halfpipes.

Park City is a perfect family resort, as there is something for everyone: beginner to expert. The ski school is great for kids and new-comers to skiing; Scott's Bowl offers plenty of "steep and deep" for the experts in your group, and plenty of fun in-between runs. Excellent terrain parks for boarders and skiers, alike.

Went here third year in a row. Pleasant place with a wide range of slopes for every level. Parking is very limited. We don't rent a car because there is no place to park. There is a great free bus service in the town and the town is walkable, if you are fit enough to climb hills at altitude. Small kids, older people and those with physical limitations will be challenged by the hills. Our rent house is "steps away from downtown." Quite true, about 282 steps straight up (we counted). A nice stairclimber work out, but not a leisurely stroll. Do not buy lift tickets at the resort. In order of value, use Costco in Salt Lake City (they will ship), military base if eligible, or Liftopia. Town is small, with limited attractions if you don't ski.

We skied 12/27-12/28 and had a great time. The kids ski school instructors were fantastic, mountainside food was good and the snow was great. The lift lines weren't bad for a holiday week and we only needed to use our fast trak passes a couple of times over the two days, never waiting more than 5-7 minutes in any line. The viking yurt makes a great sandwhich and the summit house had awesome bison chili. We loved our equipment rental service from Jakes with the free overnight storage so we didn't have to lug skis back to the hotel.

Can't wait to go back!

Varied terrain for all levels. Lifts stay open longer than Canyons.

Good access to most mountain zones.

We just skied one day each at park city, deer valley, and the canyons. There is definitely someplace for everyone, but for us , park city was not someplace I would want to return to. We were there on 12/27 (given: busiest day of the year?), but we waited in lift lines for 30 min+, food lines for 20 min+ (they actually ran out of food for a while around 1:15!), and hordes of skiers and boarders. I didn't find the mountain views pretty, nor the ski village quaint. Sorry to be a downer, just keepin' it real, folks. Ps: we LOVED the Canyons!
