Crestview Condominiums

The unit I stayed in was obvioulsy owned by an individual. It was nicely decorated and a great value for the price. Maybe I got lucky. There are no restaurants within walking distance, but they were close by. I would definitley stay there again.

I booked 2 units here for an early February guys' weekend. Let me start by saying I am a travel agent who works with hotels for a living. On average, I book about 500-600 hotel nights and cruise cabins a year.

I chose the Crestview because of the cost, the relatively close (not so) location to skiing, and the fact that they had hot tubs prominently featured on their web advertising and brochure. There's nothing like a hot tub for a bunch of guys in their late 40s after a long day of skiing.

The units were fine in themselves, but the hot tubs were not functioning. I made at least 9 calls to the management office (never one call returned) to ask about the state of repair. I was told various stories including one person who stated that it was too cold for the tubs to operate. The tubs went unused, cigars went unsmoked, and a big reason we chose this resort was moot. They finally agreed after much negotiation to credit 20% of the unit cost. This was after numerous calls to the management office without a single call returned.

I have now spent the last 10 days and many phone calls to their accounting office asking why my agency has not received the commission that should be paid for booking it in the first place. I have not had a call returned, nor do I expect to. I will wait another 5 days before sending the bill for collections.

I would suggest a condo a little closer to the ski area, restaurants, etc. If nothing else, I would advise staying away from this property because of the poor management. The units were not worth the price, and the entire experience was, and continues to be very frustrating.

We take our guest comments very seriously and find it disappointing to learn that a guest found it difficult to communicate with one of our managers. We are continually working to improve the level of guest services we provide and it seems that, in this case, there is certainly room to do so. These comments are being reviewed with all our staff.

We booked our 4 day holiday directly through the Owner by using VRBO. We stayed at D-108 and it was great!! It was conveniently located by I-80 and about 3 miles from The Canyons. It is about 6 miles from the Park City business district. We had a rent-a-car so we didn't have to mess with the shuttles. Our unit had a garage with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths - it was very well decorated with slate tile floors and very clean. It was very quiet. It had covered parking.

While the property was relatively new and clean, we were disappointed with the location. It is on the Park City free bus line, but is at the far western end of town and it took us a minimum of 30 minutes to get to The Canyons and about an hour to Deer Valley. If we go to Park City again, we'll look for lodging more central to the resorts near downtown Park City.

We visited Crestview in the fall. We found a pretty good rate. This was for a family trip with my mother who is handicapped. We called the hotel before booking to make sure they had handicap access and they said that my mother would have no trouble getting around. When we got there, we couldn't find where to check in. We drove around for a while until we saw a worker who told us we had to check in on a different property (Powderwood condos next door). They did not mention this when we called to confirm our reservation and get directions. The only entrance to the check in office was a flight of stairs (no ramp or handicap access). As we were checking in we asked if we were their first handicapped customers and they said no. We also asked about their grocery service and the staff said "oh, that's too expensive and besides you can only use it through the internet and before you check in". It would have been helpful to know this before we arrived. To get to the "handicap access" elevator to the rooms, you have to go through the private garage, even for ground floor rooms. The room itself was nice. We stayed in a 2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom unit with a fireplace and balcony. The kitchen had Corian counters and tile floors. The master bedroom was spacious with its own TV & VCR plus its own bathroom & walk in closet. Lots of space, plus most units back up to nature with great views. When we checked in, the lady said "oh you're lucky, your room is right next to the pool!" But when we got settled we realized the pool was drained (even though advertised as a year round heated pool). There was a small playground for children near the pool, which was nice. We had a few box elder bugs during our stay, and one of the windows was starting to fall out into the balcony. Also we were not told but learned after arriving they don't offer maid service (units are privately owned). I think you can request this, but you have to pay for it. So overall we rate this stay average since a lot of things we were led to expect were not true and the staff was not helpful.

Loved the pool and hot tub. Home... not a hotel resort with some one to watch your comings and goings.. and epect a tip. Indoor parking is WONDERFUL when its cold and snowing. And, yes from the condo we had we could watch them form our deck!!

We stayed at Crestview over spring break, March 2006. It was our first trip to PC. I was traveling with my husband, and 3 kids + friends, ages 18,17,16,15 & 10. None of us had ever snowboarded before! All new to it all. We chose Crestview for the price and size of unit.
Overall, we were very pleased. We had 2 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, 1 with queen and 1 with 3 twin beds. In the loft area was 2 queen pull out sofas and 1 queen pull out in the family room. Perfect for a group. The location was a little out, but NO big deal for us.We rented a mini van. So we had to drive "8" minutes to The Canyons to snowboard...ooo weee, we didn't care. 10 minutes to downtown PC, the drive is breath taking. The kids loved being able to walk to the Tanger Oulet Mall. The view at Crestview is wonderful. The pool and hot tubes were "hot" and not crowded. We had no problems checking in. The parking garage is below the builing with an inside stairway down. We used the washer and dryer in the unit alot. The kitchen was very nice, granite countertops, lots of cabinet, etc.
The only negitive is you can hear the sounds between units, but for the money Crestview is a great choice.
Would we stay here again??? YES!
