Let's face it, with kids in tow, dinner at the Glitretind at the SEL is out of the question - a waste of money if you ask me. Fortunately for us there is the Troll Hallen Lounge out front, which serves wonderful food and really seems to cater to families.

The lounge doesn't take reservations, but if you get there around 6:30 when they open (during ski season), you can find a table without any problem, even near the roaring fire. Every time we've visited, there has been terrific live music as well.

The Troll Hallen, like much of Deer Valley, isn't exactly cheap, but relative to other choices, especially up at mid-mountain/Silver Lake, it's one of the best values around.

This restaurant / bar is just adjacent to the more formal restaurant in the renowned Stein Eriksen Lodge. The space is open and inviting. Service is excellent and the Swedish meatballs were astonishingly good . A great place for a more casual dinner while enjoying the overall ambiance of the Lodge.
Check our Stein's Olympic and other medals in the lobby and visit his small but elegant shop across the lobby.

This was our first trip to Park City. We didn't stay at the Stein Eriksen but are so glad we made a point to get there for lunch. We had heard so many wonderful things about the resort but, just walking into the beautiful, warm, inviting lobby we realized what a special place this was. We had lunch out on the huge deck over looking the most incredible view through the valley. Our server was super attentive and knoledgable of the menu, making great suggestions. We decided to get several items to share and they were all delicious. Im not sure when we will get back to Park City, but, when we do this resort will be our destination!

this is a delightful place for apre ski. Just a little expensive but worth it. nice windows, beautiful woodwork. Menu is fine. Raclette is fabulous. the fondue is TERRIBLE! We love fondue and this was the worst we have ever been served. But, everything else we had was good. Went every day after skiing and throughally enjoyed it.
