Description: Sammy's serves unique gourmet bistro food in a fun, casual setting. The employees are have remained constant and you will always see a familiar face. Sammy's was featured on Diner's, Drive Ins, and Dives with Guy Fieri. Guy loved the Savory Chicken Bowl and the Chivito Club Sandwich, both found only at Sammy's Bistro. A full bar and strong drinks make Sammy's a rarity in Utah! The menu has something for everyone at a price point that won't hurt.

“Something for everyone”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 6, 2013

We had lunch here on our way our of town. The food was delicious, great central location, very casual, and a wide range of choices. I had the signature pulled pork sandwich, which was piled high of tender, tasty pork. One can have chips or salad/french fries with it for a small up charge. My friend is vegan, and had their vegetable plate, also tasty (he said). Good sports bar in the evening.

“SMALL BUT WONDERFUL!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2013

This small bistro is located in a strip mall in the Prospector area of Park City. Find it for more of the local flavor and great food. Kid friendly and during the summer they have outside tables.

“A value-priced gem in Park City”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 26, 2013

Park City has no shortage of expensive fine dining establishments. It does, however, have a shortage of affordable quality sit-down dining aimed at locals instead of the tourist crowd. So Sammy's Bistro is therefore a needed and welcome addition to the Park City dining scene. Located in a strip mall near the high school, in a space previously occupied by a not-very-good BBQ joint, Sammy's serves up excellent American cuisine, fairly priced, with a decently sized and decently priced wine list and several craft beers offered in bottle and on tap. Patrons can sit at the bar, watch some sports on TV and enjoy a beer and an appy, or they can enjoy the table service and order entrees ranging from $9 burgers up to $20 steaks. A bacon-wrapped shrimp appetizer ($10) offered 6 grilled shrimp along with two hush puppies and a side of slaw. It could have easily been a full lunch or a light dinner by itself. A pasta dish with prosciutto and peas in a delicious cream sauce was fairly priced at $14. Wines by the bottle range from $25 to $70ish, and even at the low end the wines are quality products that don't seem to have the sizable markups typical of Main Street restaurants. About 10 wines are also available by the glass, as are several tap beers and a collection of microbrews in bottle.

Atmosphere is sparse but friendly, with low lighting offset somewhat by the silent TVs over the bar. The owner Sammy was present both nights I dined there, and was both friendly and attentive both times. I witnessed him inspect one dish coming out of the kitchen, looking at it disapprovingly, and taking it back to the kitchen for re-work, indicating that he clearly cares about what he's serving his customers. It shows in the quality of the food and service.

I'll definitely be back!

“Good food. Poor wine”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 12, 2013 via mobile

Second year visiting. Steak Frites, grilled Romaine salad and hamburger all drew raves. Only one Cabernet on wine list available. Only one other choice besides that one. Inacceptable.
