My buddy and I stayed here to gain easy access to Deer Valley skiing and restaurants in downtown Park City. The room with two queen beds was pretty comfortable and had two sinks. The hotel was a 10 minute drive to Deer Valley and only five minutes to downtown Park City. There was a hotel shuttle that would take you to either destination also. Both the pool and hot tub were indoors so they went unused by us. We managed to find a parking spot in front of the hotel every night 29 Jan - 2 Feb. As the hotel refilled after the Sundance crew exited, we could hear noise above us but it wasn't enough to stop us from sleeping after long days of skiing. Starbucks counter in lobby was pretty nice for a jump start.

Room Tip: We asked for a room away from elevator and ice machine - good thing we did as they were noisy when w...

Upon check-in I was pleased with the friendly staff. Very knowledgeable about the area, bus schedules, where to go etc. Although it was the HQ for Sundance, I had no issues with noise, crowds, or any other inconveniences. I have stayed previously and will still again.

Typical Marriott experience. Nice room, all of the amenities you would expect. Should of asked for a quite room. I heard the person above me on the 3rd floor walking around, and I was in a room overlooking the pool and spa, which was loud at times. Would stay here again but would request a quite room, away from the pool. The concierge level takes up the entire top floor, the 4th floor. Although expensive, I would consider that during my next stay.

We stayed at the Marriott Park City during the second week of Sundance. Needless to say, it was a really busy, crowded time. The hotel serves as the HQ for Sundance, so many rooms are utilized for business purposes.

Overall, expectations were set on the lower end and I think that was important in coming away from a 4 night stay with a 3 star rating given here. As a gold member, there were no upgradeable rooms available, which was understandable given the festival. We were on the 3rd floor of this 4 floor hotel and still given access to the Concierge Lounge (on the 4th). Location was central for our festival purposes, right on multiple shuttle stop lines, and walkable to several theaters.

PROS
- Concierge Lounge (that they have one, not necessarily the quality of the lounge)
- Location for Sundance film goers
- Friendly staff
- Indoor/Atrium-based pool
- Hotel restaurant food (though it does have a limited menu)

CONS
- Tiny, outdated fitness center
- Lounge breakfast ends at 9am
- Lack of eating options after 10pm
- Not a good value during Sundance at $410/night (but potentially better outside of peak dates)

In summary, would prefer to stay at a more upscale hotel option for the prices we stayed at, but with the right expectations, this hotel will meet all of your functional lodging needs.

Room Tip: The top floor (4th floor) is the concierge floor.

We made a reservation with their group sales for a small group meeting. We told them that we might need to cancel. They said OK. When we did have to cancel they would not honor our request and charged us the FULL amount. They said that they did not have to give us a refund even though their cancellation policy was not disclosed at the time of the reservation. This hotel is also NOT a part of the big Marriott and can do whatever they want. when we contact Marriott Rewards they said they could do nothing for us. American Express is currently reviewing our dispute. So BEWARE!!

We stayed at the Marriott during a recent trip to go skiing for a few days. The location of the hotel was close enough to the Main Street area, and there were several restaurant options nearby. It was also very convenient that there were shuttles to different ski areas, and a couple of the public transportation routes had a stop immediately outside the hotel. We had a rental car, so we only used the shuttles a couple of times, but I can see how they would be very useful for some groups -- especially if different members of the group were going to different places during the same time frame.

The staff was very friendly, and we had good service. We had access to the concierge lounge, which was very convenient, though the food seemed pretty generic, and options seemed limited at times other than breakfast.

Parking can be a little tight out front (especially as we were there as the hotel was gearing up for the Sundance Festival) if you're planning on having a car. As far as the hotel itself, the rooms and facilities were nice enough, though it did show some wear and the rooms and hallways were fairly generic. It definitely does not have a "lodge" feel, so this may not be the place for you if that's what you're looking for. It was, however, a good place to rest at the end of the day.

Overall, we had a good stay and would consider staying there again in the future.

We stayed there for a sky trip in December 2011; and I was not impressed at all. The ski lift near the hotel was never running (probably die to insufficient snow), so you have to carry the skies and walk (up and down the bridge) to the shuttle stop. Most rooms have no view, but the rooms were decorated with expensive furniture. The room we got when first checked in was facing a noisy road (can be heard clearly from the inside) and an ugly hill. So I had to request a room change. On the fourth day of our vacation we shortened our stay at Marriott and moved to a two-br villa in Big Cottonwood Canyon near Alta Ski Resort (highly recommend), which was $440, $80 less than the 1-br villa at Marriott. We thoroughly enjoy our stay there.

Room Tip: Request for a view room if you don't want to face a noisy road or another building that's 20...
