We stopped in to check out the exhibits for the 10 Year Anniversary of the SLC Games. The exhibits were fun and we got to meet some Olympians. Didn't have the guts to ride the bobsled. Next time it's a must.

One of the best attractions in Park City is the Utah Olympic Park (UOP). It was a venue during the Salt Lake 2002 Winter Olympic games and its facilities continue to be used for competition and athlete training – which visitors can watch! Here are some of the activities at the UOP:

1. There is an extremely interesting two-floor museum. The first floor is devoted to Utah skiing; the second floor showcases the 2002 Olympics.
2. UOP offers a fabulous one-hour tour. The cost is extremely reasonable and the guides are very knowledgeable. The tour shows visitors the phenomenal facilities – including the huge Nordic ski jumps, the sliding track (used in bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton), and the aerial jumps.
3. If you’re lucky, you might be able to see one of the national or even international competitions held at UOP. Or perhaps you can catch athletes training at the fabulous UOP facilities. Call to find out about competition and training events happening at the Park (keeping in mind that training schedules are definitely subject to change).
4. Depending on the time of the year, visitors can also participate in activities such as the Comet Bobsled ride, the Rocket Skeleton ride, and the zipline.
5. During the summer on Saturdays, visitors can watch the freestyle show: athletes take off from the freestyle jumps landing in the splash pool!
6. For all the details, the UOP website is: http://utaholympiclegacy.com/

The Utah Olympic Park will absolutely be a highlight of your Park City visit.

The Olympic bobsled ride was one of the craziest things I have ever done. Longest minute of my life. The facility was well organized and friendly. If you have signed up for any of the rides take the guided tour of the park. It's free with your purchase. Very informative. If you are looking for a log flume ride the bobsled IS NOT for you. Wonderful experience but never again!

We did the Sunday mogul clinic, lots of fun amazing value and first class coach. A trip to Park City or Deer Valley really should include this. Our group ski ability included a 7 yr old advanced skier, a female adult intermediate skier to a expert skier and all learned and had a great time.

When the Winter Olympics came to Utah in 2002, our kids' elementary school sent everybody here. Informative tours are given and very interesting artifacts in the museum. I've been here in the summer to watch the skiers jump into the pools which is an amazing thing to see and take out-of-town guests to!
