Spent a long weekend in Park City and planned on celebrating the last night with a great steak, an awesome wine and spectacular company. Of the three best steak houses in the area, we chose Lespri.
The evening went like this: we arrived, brought a favorite Barolo found in SLC (believe it or not), which was promptly opened (although she broke the cork), ordered some good sushi appetizers, and just as we were ready to order our celebratory steaks, we were informed that they were out of not only the fillet *but also* the New York strip...bububububut there are only three steaks on your menu? Guess, you can have any steak you want as long as it's a ribeye. We were never informed of their inability to manage inventory when we confirmed the reservations, arrived at the hostess station, was greeted by our waiter or even placed our appetizer order.
What kind of steak house runs out of 2/3 of your menu? Completely disappointed...couldn't even take our wine to go since the cork was mangled. Had to get a loaner cork from somewhere back in the kitchen.
Went to Prime and had a wonderful dinner and a wait staff that actually apologized and comped us for our disappointing experience at Lespri!
Bottom line: Unfortunately, you should ask if they are running low or are out of any items before making plans at Lespri.
