“My Wife's fave.”
Reviewed June 2, 2009

My wife was a concierge at Stein's when she was in college, and as a result, she was invited to try most of the fine dining establishments in Park City. This remains one of her favorites. We've always had excellent service, and the food, from the appetizers to the desserts, has been consistently outstanding. During the off season, we had one marginal experience there, when the sides were cool relative to the main dish. But it was fixed immediately, and the offending meal comped.

“Horrible”
Reviewed March 18, 2009

We ate there over spring break 2009. The food service was quick. Too quick as we soon found out. We had to send our veggies back as they were still frozen! My prime rib was a horrible cut of meat . My 19 yo son couldn't stomach the ribs which were too firm (usually, he'll eat anything). After a long day of skiing we just ate what we could and went back to the condo. This was my sixth ski trip to Park City but my one and only trip to Riverhorse!

“Always perfect”
Reviewed February 16, 2009

Superior food and service. Excellent and creative menu. Fantastic wine selection. Complimentary sous chef treats to your table. Live musical entertainment.

We have eaten here every trip to Park City and look forward to it as a highlight of our vacation. We have never been disappointed. It is a Park City mainstay.

“Okay, but nothing spectacular”
Reviewed December 7, 2008

The ambiance of the restaurant is nice and the waitstaff was very attentive. However, the food was just mediocre. We are true foodies from New Orleans and expected great things after reading the reviews, but were very disappointed. We started with the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, at the suggestion of the waitress and the vegan squash soup, which were both good. Because we were in the mood for red meat, our waitress recommended the Bone-in Ribeye. What a mistake in ordering! We ordered it medium rare and it did have a warm pink center. However, the outside of the steak was so charred, that it was all we could taste. It totally ruined our appetite. Unforturnately, it was only served on a bed of leeks and onions, so we were not able to cleanse our palates. As a tip for anyone not from Utah, the government will not allow restaurants to pour more than 1.5 ounces of hard alcohol, so mixed drinks are very tiny. Stick with wine (of which Riverhorse has a nice selection).
