If you don't tell your booking person that you want specific dates on your lift tickets, you will have to go to the ticket office everyday. This is vvvv annoying. Also the fact that you are unable to book a single child lift ticket without going to the ticket office was also weird. Runs are short, but well groomed. Note there are a Lot of really bad skiers. I have only skied for 2 years so I understand. The trails are not as generous as Steamboat but man the food rocks. Best lodge to have lunch is at the Empire lodge. Yes people are vvv old too but that didn't bother me.

Ski school is ok for older kids who are intermediate. I think they do not push the younger ones to ski to their full potential. My 7 yr old intermediate is now doing moguls and skis well but that's not from dv. They don't put slingets on the older kids or gps trackers. I wish they would. Overall I actually like deer valley as an intermediate skier desperately trying to improve. However, even with my novice eye and experience, I couldn't ski just DV for a week. 2.5 days is just right.

Extremely good snow and better yet is the food! Skiing is great for families since there is a good amount of green and blue runs.

Staff is very friendly. Crowds are small due to limited lift tickets and not allowing boarders.

Grooming is excellent.

Head to the back side lifts as soon as you can. The lift ride up then down the mountain to the back side is unique.

If with kids don't forget about the tree runs off of Bandana.

We skied at DVR on New Years Eve. In contrast to PCR, which permits skis & snowboards and is hip/urban, DVR only permits skies. It was elegant & picturesque. Slopes were amazing and seemed to last for hours with so many options. Really worth trying both resorts when you visit to suit your different moods. But I liked DVR best!

Deer Valley is one word...pampered. The grooming is impeccable and the the staff is remarkable. Don't forget to head to the St. Regis for apre ski cocktails and a ride down the funicular. Bring your BIG credit card for a good time!

Best food of any resort anywhere. Really! And no snowboardingallowed. You decide if that is good or bad. But I loved that and the resulting snow conditions.
