“Challenging runs & beautiful location”
Reviewed July 12, 2013

Once you have got over the extortionate price (expect to pay north of $120 for a day ticket, a bit less if you buy it at a sports shop in SLC), you will enjoy a very extensive ski area (with some rather long diagonal lift transfers, though), good to excellent food right on the runs, and your money’s worth of highly challenging double blacks – don’t be deceived by the location looking rather like a few hills than like a proper mountain! Additional extras include a chair that will keep your bottom toasty (not a basic need of mine) and a peek at the living style of the filthy rich while your chair crosses the mountainside development of castle-like chalets (supposedly eco-friendly – one may wonder at this one) which dot the forest. The overall location is beautiful, and the runs cut through the forest in a picturesque, pleasant way. In addition, you get excellent sunlight all day long (unlike at Snowbird).

All in all, the second best resort resort for expert skiing (after Snowbird) around SLC, and a definitely civilized experience.

“Canyons resort”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Have been coming here winter and summer for 30 years. It is now a world class resort and with Vail now managing it this will only become better. The mountain is great both for skiing and for summer hiking and adventure. Hopefully the proposed golf course will be ready next year.

“Canyon's Zip Tour Adventures - Exhilarating!”
Reviewed July 2, 2013

Long, Fast, High, Scary, Safe and Exhilarating, that is what you want when you do a zip line. Our family has tried all the zip lines in Park City, and this is THE BIG ONE. Now don't get me wrong, the Park City Resort and Olympic Park zip lines are fun and worth the hair raising ride down. But the Canyon's was the last to the party, so they have two zip lines, as follows:

1. Red Pine which is exciting and 800 feet long. Perfect for your first time, and second time. BUT

2. Look Peak - This is the granddaddy of the zip lines in Park City.

After your training, and ride on the Red Pine Line you jump into the gondola and your party rides UP UP UP and you can look DOWN DOWN DOWN. When you get out you step up to the platform, and the flags are blowing in the wind. You and a buddy get strapped in, there are two lines right next to each other so you get to share the scare with a friend. Away you go, down, the 2,111 feet line. It's between two mountains so your way the heck up there.

One word - Exhilarating.

okay for those who are a bit scared, this zip set up has a breaking system so you can control the speed. So you can get your freak on and scream all the way down, or hair out and apply the breaks and go a little slower. Either way this is the best $45 ticket in town.

“Geat place to ride!”
Reviewed June 26, 2013

This is a very great moutain, with easy access to the backcountry. Inbounds can get a bit busy, but on a powder day you can usually find stashes all day becase of the size of the mountian.
