This is mostly a been-there-forever, family-owned cheap-eats drive-in for locals (there are only 2 or 3 tables inside, and the restrooms are around the back). Not an extensive menu: a few burgers, sandwiches, fries and onion rings, sodas and shakes is about it. The food is ok--about what you'd expect from a non-franchise, small-town burger joint, but nothing standout. Some have raved about their burgers and shakes, but I found them nothing out of the ordinary. In fact, I had a caramel shake and couldn't even taste the caramel there was so little mixed into the soft ice cream. And those who claim Henrie's sells the best hamburgers ever eaten? Well, what can I say? They need to get out more (for starters, try Slackers in Torrey by Capitol Reef--now that's a good burger).
The place is staffed by local kids and they're often more interested in each other than in serving customers--lots of giggling and gossip while they're ringing you up, lots of whispering to each other about local boys flirting with them at the drive-up window, etc. But in Panguitch your dining options are few and far between: a gas-station Arby's, a mediocre smokehouse, a hostile Corner Cafe, and a small pizza place are the only competition.
