“Rent a pavillion!”
Reviewed January 11, 2013

I have rented the northernmost pavillion for my daughter's birthday the past two years. It is very secluded and a well covered place for 50 people to picnic at good solid tables. plenty of shade, some huge tree houses, and lots of walking trails to explore. It is a little hard to find.

The main area of the nature center is a small diversion with a few trails you can walk and watch for birds. The place could use some TLC, but I think it runs on donations and volunteer work, so that is excusable.

“Small, but some interesting things to see.”
Reviewed October 13, 2012

There is an aviary there, so you can some of the birds that have been injured and recovered. One can walk around some, and the homemade birdhouse competition is fun.

Super fun activities for the family. Awsome earth day celebration. Also have had a wonderful time at the Halloween/harvest celebration in October. Kids camps all summer long.

“Nice bit of nature in the city”
Reviewed July 15, 2012

This is a nice place to walk and just get outside, especially when it's too cold/wet to get up in the foothills. They tend to have a lot of activities going on too - both for kids and adults.
