“Great park”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

We enjoyed this museum as one of our stops on a long road trip. It has a great park area to play in. We had so much fun walking the paths and discovering all the life size dinosaurs hidden amongst the trees and bushes.

“See the whole process of discovery, careful excavation and putting together of 65+ million year old dinosaurs bones.”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

Even wonder where all those dinosaur bones that you see in museums come from? Not unlikely from Vernal, Utah. One of the largest finds of preserved dinosaur fossils in the world, you can see the whole process from start to finish at this amazing location. Look back in time and see the remains of the creatures whose extinction made it possible for US to emerge.

“Bigger hit than the zoo”
Reviewed August 22, 2012

My kids loved it, even more than the zoo. We were there for hours. Now, I wasn't so sure that was going to be the case when my daughter screamed at the sight of a huge T-rex strategically placed near the parking lot. Apparently she thought it was real (we'd just watched Jurassic Park). The kids get little field guides they can fill out, which I think helped my children do more than just run around. They also really liked the exhibits inside. It wasn't crowded at all so there was no waiting for hands-on activities, etc.

Reviewed August 21, 2012

The Dinosaur Park is a great place to take your children for an fun learning experience. It is open all year and Halloween is especially fun when they are open at night and kids come in costume for a scary night.Bring a picnic and enjoy the walkway on the river outside the park for fun afternoon just outside the city.

“Lots of dinosaurs”
Reviewed August 8, 2012

This dinosaur park is a great thing to do for kids who are into dinosaurs. It offers a large variety of informative and entertaining elements.

First we visited the museum. There we saw the more traditional fossils and skeletons that you find in other dinosaur museums.

However, the real attraction is the dinosaur park. It contains many (I think over 40) life-size statues of various dinosaurs. My older son was able to recognize most of them from the many books he read.

The kids also enjoyed completing their field guide, a small book you get at the front desk, that challenged them to find certain dinosaurs and complete information about them. At the end they got a little price for completing the book.

The park also has a dinosaur excavation pit in which they dug up bones hidden under the sand. There is a play ground with slides.

Finally, the boys participated in a gem-stone hunt in a special cave inside the museum and spend some of their own money at the well-stocked gift shop.

All in all, a great place to visit with dinosaur-crazed boys.
