Very avarage dinosaur park. It is a good way to kill a couple of hours if you have children., but it's nothing special.

“Fun, but”
Reviewed January 18, 2012

It could use some sprucing up a bit. It is a great walk and it's fun to take the kids and have them search for specific dinos that are scattered in the brush and hidden in the grass. The little cafe is ok.

“Fun for Dinosaur Lovers”
Reviewed January 11, 2012

We have had an annual pass to this park a couple of times in the past several years and our kids (especially my 4-year-old dinosaur expert) enjoy going back again and again. The museum itself is small and we usually don't spend a long time there. There is a small collection of dinosaur skeletons and each one has a computer touch screen where you can learn more or try a quiz about each dinosaur. Upstairs there is an animatronic T-Rex and Triceratops behind a fence. My four-year-old loves to hang out there, but it was scary for my kids when they were toddlers. There is also an interesting rock and mineral collection upstairs. Back downstairs, there is sometimes a working paleontologist from the Utah Museum of Natural History in the lab who will answer questions. One day, we stopped to talk to him and he showed us some really interesting fossils.

Outside there are walking trails, mostly wide and paved, lined with realistic dinosaur statues. There are lots of great photo ops along the way. Not far from the museum, there is a sand box where kids can uncover dinosaur bones with brushes. There is also a playground with more dinosaurs and the usual swings and slides for kids to play on. This is where we usually spend most of our time. There are a few benches, picnic tables and grassy areas nearby. Also near the playground, there is an Education building. If you're there when it's open, you can find dinosaur puzzles, books, and toys for the kids to play with.

There are lots of great dinosaur museums and sites out there, but I haven't seen another place like this. If you have a dinosaur lover, try this place when you are in the area.

“ROAR!”
Reviewed January 3, 2012

We love the Dinosaur Park. The skeletons & other fossils inside are amazing. There is also a "real" Triceratops mom protecting her kids from an Allosaurus. Outside the grounds are covered with paths & dinosaurs. The kids love exploring and finding the dinosaurs. There is also a playground & lots of picnic tables. A great family experience.

“Education within a city”
Reviewed December 7, 2011

This place offers a beginning for children who might be interested in pre-historic history. It has many displays of dinosaur figures, show rooms with history and pre-historic figures, explore centers, showcases filled with gemstones and display videos about dinosaur history.
