Thunderbirds is the kind of place you hope to find when you travel. Good regional cuisine, served by friendly staff at a good value. But, there's more. They are the home of the "ho'made pie." There is a story that goes with that tawdry sounding name that you can read on the menu. Suffice it to say they do not take themselves too seriously except for the quality of their food and service. We liked the restaurant so much we ate there two days in a row. Oh, and they have hummingbird feeders right outside the window. There were as many as 8 hummingbirds just a few feet away from where we ate that were vying for a nectar meal of their own. They are located about 10 miles east of Zion National Park, and easy and scenic drive.
