Good salads at reasonable rates. Nothing special but a lot of choice. Service was good and pleasant.

We appeared fairly early for dinner at the Stagecoach Dining Room, which is part of Goulding's. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and service at first was very prompt.
We got as booth by the window – well, glass facade, and you look out on part of Monument Valley – a view to die for.
I just chose 'all you can eat soup &salad bar'. The salad bar was really nice with a great variety of choices, and the soup was fine. My husband had a steak – and he was not really happy with that. He'd ordered medium as usual, and it came very well done – except that it this case it was an oxymoron – it was badly done. He said, quote, the worst steak in a long time, as not only was it overdone, but it was totally tough he said. His sides were fine and tasty – but since the steak is the heart of the dish, so to speak, it was a bit of a disappointment – and not exactly cheap either.
When we were waiting to ask for the bill, it took a very long time to attract the waitress's attention. Okay, quite a few new dinner guests had arrived, but still. I think we'd rather not dine there again. Stay at Goulding's again, yes, absolutely, the place is fantastic, but not eat at the Stagecoach dining room.

The view from the dining room is great. The food is average. Stay away from the Navaho Taco unless you have a cast iron stomach. Chili and beans make for a good combination to give you heartburn and ......

After experiencing a poor meal at The View Hotel we tried the Stagecoach Dining room at Goulding's Lodge. The staff were extremely welcoming, the food was hot and the steaks were great. With superb views of the Valley and the charming museum next door, this was a lovely place to spend an hour or two.

After the full day Gouldings tour of Mystery Valley and Monument Valley we had dinner here, 2 nice meals of pork chops and lamb chops. A visit to the soup and salad bar is included, both very nice. Some other reviews have commented on the price but we didn't find it high for the location.
