“Movie trivia”

This was an interesting sidebar to our visit, showing the movies that were shot in the valley and lots of memorabilia of the Gouldings who lived in the lodge while the various films were being shot.

“A Must”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 27, 2013

Really something to do.... Not many people do it but its so nice to make the round trip that takes +/_ 2 hrs. To do the trail just follow the little towers od stones that the indians have put all along the trail. And its free of charge !!

“Nice Little Museum”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2013

We were at the RV park anyway, so this was easy to do and a nice diversion on a WINDY afternoon. Nice display of artifacts from the early part of the century including their intact residence above the original store.

“Worth a quick walk around”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2013

For an optional donation it is worth walking around the rooms as it provides a good reminder of some of the many films recorded around the valley.

“Step back into an old western movie”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013

The souvenir store is about what you would expect. Native American art and crafts. The Museum and the John Wayne cabin are a real treat if you are a movie and history buff. The museum has all sorts of memorabilia from the old movie days including signatures of some of the famous stars who stayed here.
