“Super scenic!”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

Monument Valley takes your breath away but with a local experienced guide like Myron Red Mustache with MV Safari, we got to "feel the spirit" of this very special place. The owner, Nate, was always available via email or cell phone which made it easy for us to be flexible and change our plans.
Myron was such a wonderful guide the first day so we requested him on two more tours. He is a skilled driver with a sense of humor and very accommodating to our needs. He told us Navaho stories, taught us some Navaho words, and even sang to us at Honeymoon Arch and Hidden Arch. Myron also knew the best times and views for taking photos of this amazing place. Thank you Myron for making our time in MV so very special.

“Sunrise-Sunset Tour With Bobby”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

If you are looking for a perfect photo opportunity, cultural, historical and geographical area education and personable experience from a local guide, this is the perfect tour opportunity. Bobby knows and has lived the area; is articulate, personable and accomodating; and knows just where the best photo opportunities and times are. He is very knowledgable and articulate about the history and culture of the area. We have never experienced a better tour. We recommend the combination tour (sunrise-sunset) if you are looking for photo opportunities. We do not recommend driving the canyon floor as it is so rough and parts of the tour are in restricted areas that you would not have access to on you own. Larry & Liz

“The most amazing cultural journey we have ever experienced”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

We missed our original tour, but it turned out to be a blessing! Our guide Brian took us on the most amazing cultural journey we have ever experienced. The scenery was so gorgeous, there are just no words to describe it. And although the landscape was fabulous enough, Brian also provided us with excellent tips of unique ways to capture photographs of the scenes, as well as taking photos of us. He took us to sites that were both beautiful and significant. Brian also shared so much about himself and his family that brought to life his beliefs, the Diné culture and stories from his people. His stories were both touching and funny, and the songs he shared were a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you do nothing else in this part of the country, take a Monument Valley Safari tour, and ask for Brian as your guide!

“Unforgettable overnight at Hunts Mesa”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

We selected Monument Valley Safari to take us on an overnight campout on Hunts Mesa, which overlooks Monument Valley. It was the experience of a lifetime. First - the drive up to the mesa is an experience in and of itself - doesn't even look like a road but our guide Duffy was a master. Once we got up to the mesa, the view was unbelievable. We had several hours to take photos as the sun went down, with the light of the setting sun making the rocks even more beautiful. Then we got a great steak and corn dinner cooked over the campfire and slept in a tent with warm sleeping bags. In the morning we got up early and moved to another location to get sunrise views of Monument Valley before the bumpy trip back down the mesa. Duffy was a wonderful guide and taught us a lot about Navajo life and traditions, as well as knowing gorgeous locations to photograph from. I highly recommend this trip and the outfitter.
