“Too Bad The Food Was Not As Good As The View”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

We ate dinner at the View Restaurant on August 5, 2013. The view of Monument Valley from the dining room was fantastic but that was the highlight of the meal. Service was ok but it was tough to get a drink refill. The soup and salad bar were ok but the flies in the lettuce foreshadowed the meal to come. The taco sampler appetizer was a mushy mess. I ordered the "Clint Eastwood Fried Chicken" and the meal came with what appeared to be heated up frozen chicken, the vegetables were ok. My oldest daughter was served a burger that was so well done she could not eat it. My son's chicken nuggets were clearly frozen prior to service. The highlight was the Green Chile Stew that my daughter ordered, it was very good. We did not order dessert. The meal cost about $120 but I chalked it up as a view tax. There really are no other options unless you bring your own food.

“Excellent food”

We ate all our meals here during our stay. Never had a bad meal, generous portions at a good price. All the staff were very nice and helpful. Awesome view from the restaurant overlooking Monument Valley! Highly recommend this Hotel and restaurant!

“appetizers were great”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

We ate dinner early around 5 pm. The Dining room was not crowded at all at that time, but gets crowded later. We had appetizers and honestly the portions were large enough for a meal. I had the Navajo Tacos and my sons had the Nachos and chicken wings all of which were good. The Navajo tacos are basically tacos on fry bread, but all the ingredients were very fresh and tasty. The appetizers cost about $10 each which will save a large family money as the dinner items are about $15 or more. Overall it was a good experience. The waitress was also very pleasant and there was some peaceful indian music playing in the background.

“The most amazing view in the world”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

I was worried about being ripped off as there is little choice in the vicinity to eat, but prices seemed typical for a decent establishment: burger $10, mutton stew same. The latter, a Navajo speciality was delicious, and my 3 teenage boys thought the burgers the best they have had on the trip. HOWEVER...the view of Monument valley is incredible! Awesome! Worth paying more for! It is simply amazing.

“Could have been better!”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

Hostesses was very nice greeted us as we walked in our waitress on the other hand only saw her when we placed our order, brought out our meal, and gave us our check. We had to ask other staff members for refills napkins etc. We saw wait staff standing around laughing and throwing trash into the trash can like it was basketball practice in front of guest. Service was a bust but the food was delicious!
