We ate dinner at the View Restaurant on August 5, 2013. The view of Monument Valley from the dining room was fantastic but that was the highlight of the meal. Service was ok but it was tough to get a drink refill. The soup and salad bar were ok but the flies in the lettuce foreshadowed the meal to come. The taco sampler appetizer was a mushy mess. I ordered the "Clint Eastwood Fried Chicken" and the meal came with what appeared to be heated up frozen chicken, the vegetables were ok. My oldest daughter was served a burger that was so well done she could not eat it. My son's chicken nuggets were clearly frozen prior to service. The highlight was the Green Chile Stew that my daughter ordered, it was very good. We did not order dessert. The meal cost about $120 but I chalked it up as a view tax. There really are no other options unless you bring your own food.
