“did not care about the food”

the service was outstanding and the views magical, but the food was not to our liking. and its the only place there , so you kind of stuck...the food was much better at Bryce Canyon Lodge.

“Great view, decent food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 23, 2012

Location, location, location. There are a lot of places in the Four Corners region to get Navajo tacos and mutton stew, but there's nowhere else with this view.

The staff is wonderfully attentive, and knowledgable about the menu. I'd recommend sticking with the traditional Navajo dishes - the burgers are nothing to write home about, but that sheep camp Navajo mutton stew was great, and the blue corn mush... yum!

“Great view, very good food and service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2012 via mobile

The restaurant has some really good items especially the green chili stew. The Navaho taco is good and a large portion. My favorite was simply the fry bread with honey. When ordered you can expect generous amounts. We found the service to be better than most tourist places and the students working there are especially friendly and make sure you have what you need. The breakfast buffet is only okay, but there was a $5 coupon for all View guests, but the young server even offered us one before we paid the bill. As with everything here, the view out the windows is breathtaking. Outside service is available. Unless you wish to drive quite aways, the restaurant at The View is the only game in town. For dinner, one might wish to eat early as it can be crowded while breakfast is not crowded if one eats later.

“Good service, slow getting food to table”

Good options on menu (Navajo food and other choices), friendly waiting staff, but the food took a while getting to the table.

“Excellent food and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 19, 2012

Dinner has a menu that provides both moutwatering sounding American/European food plus an excellent choice of Navajo traditional food. The waiter was happy to help with information about the Navajo food and we tried two dishes which were cooked beautifully and tasted great. Not too expensive.
