I enjoyed it all. The price may seem high but now I consider it reasonable. I shall not repeat what the countless reviews have already said. Its ALL good! The hotel entrance seems very plain compared to the rest. We loved trying the Navajo food (we enjoy new food experiences) - best attentive and efficient service and you can take your time staring out the window. I consider the price cheap.
Sunset and sunrise was spectacular but getting colder at this time. Everybody was up taking photos and whispering. (The value of photographic equipment in that hotel probably exceeds the value of the whole hotel - something to think of when you pay your bill?)
We missed breakfast while feasting on the sunrise and there is a deli if you need a snack.
I took full advantage of the extra 10% discount at the Trading Post and my shipped goods arrived well packed shortly after my return home - there's that efficiency again.
I did drive through the park - a pretty rough road but managed it with care.

Room Tip: Starview room was good Check in early and leave late to get the views Try the Navajo food

We stayed at The View Hotel for 3 nights in September 2012. Everything was just great, from the staff to the room to the food. Breakfast was great and the fresh fruit was so lovely and juicy. Staff were very attentive, as soon as you finished with something, they just appeared and cleared it away. We ate there each night and again, the food was beautiful. And of course the views are just amazing. We were on the top floor, so sitting on our balcony in the evening, watching the sun go down and then seeing the stars - it was just fabulous. We took a trip with an Indian guide, Barts, into the valley - he was very knowledgeable about everything and took us to the best spots for photos and also took our photo.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel - it is worth every penny.

As a photographer I was keen on the idea of staying so close to such magnificent scenery, but was worried that plonking a hotel down in a place like this would be inappropriate, spoiling the special atmosphere of the place. I needn't have worried - from the valley itself you can barely tell the hotel is even there; it has been very well constructed to blend in with the surroundings.

The hotel itself is fantastic and unlike anywhere else I've stayed. The architecture is very cleanand the decoration is tasteful and interesting. We took a top floor starview room and the view was every bit as stunning as you could imagine. The room itself was perfect - very spacious, spotlessly clean and well-appointed. The staff were without exception friendly and helpful. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant on-site and were very happy with the quality and selection.

This is not a cheap hotel, but this is not any old location. Worth every cent, I would dearly love to come back and spend more time here.

Room Tip: Rooms with a premium starview are more expensive but offer the best view you'll get from the hot...

The View Hotel is worth every penny of the nightly charge. Our large room and balcony were outstanding, along the service from all Hotel Staff. My wife and I totally enjoyed the unobstructed sunrises and sunsets over Monument Valley taking many photgraphs which we are now enjoying with family and friends. We would highly recommend this lodging. My only complaint was the intermitent wi-fi signal in our room, it did work fine in the Lobby area.

We stayed at View Hotel this fall and as good as the rooms and view is the food is bad. The view from the room was really wonderful, but the food was just awful. We had breakfast lunch and dinner there and none were very good. The only option you have is to drive done the road to Goulding's Lodge ( about 1 mile) and eat there other wise order wisely.

Room Tip: All rooms face East but you don't want to be on the dinning room end of the building as it block...

My husband booked this hotel when we visited Monument Valley as a part of the surprise birthday trip he planned out for me. It was expensive but when we reached the hotel and went to the balcony of our room, we both agreed it was totally worth it. The best thing about The View hotel is the view itself! Standing in the balcony of our room (all rooms have a balcony and a great view), it felt as if the monuments were in our backyard. Sipping in hot coffee and watching the sunrise from the comfort of our balcony in the calm, peaceful and wonderful Monument Valley was the best part of our trip and the best gift I could have asked for!

We spent two nights in Sept in a premium room--third floor? One very small elevator to go with the very small room! We also had one dinner--quite expensive and their buffet breakfast. The buffet was good, but again expensive--the voucher helped. The highlight for me was the tour through the valley with Charlie, our driver and guide. Sitting in the backend of a pickup truck was fun--tho bouncy! Where else can you do that. We bought our college graduating granddaughter a beautiful piece of jewelry as a token of our love and admiration for her! We've done all of the Utah parks now, but my favorite still is Zion and The Desert Pearl Inn.

Room Tip: The view is good from anywhere
