Reviewed June 7, 2013

The perfect hotel for a visit to Canyonlands National Park. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The hotel has a large indoor pool and spa. Rooms have microwave and refrigerator and free wireless internet. Free breakfast.

Since Monticello is a small town we are lucky that this Inn is there. For the price the hotel is not bad. Our room was clean and there is a restaurant nearby MD Ranch Cookhouse which has really tasty food and the customer service is outstanding. This hotel was a lot better than staying in Moab and paying $200 a night for a mediocre room!

The hotel offers a continental breakfast which was fine. I just like cold cereal in the morning and they offered Raisin Bran and I had a bagel. They also had muffins and pastries. They also offered hard boiled eggs.

We were on our way to Az and played golf in Monticello at the Hideout - the hotel was right by the golf course so it worked out great. If you play golf take some time to play this course - it is a hidden gem!

Room Tip: We stayed in a room on the first floor (I think it was 122 ) and it was really nice because it was o...

Although there are not many choices in Monticello, the is a nice hotel. It is clean and you can tell it was newly remodeled. The staff was kind and accommodating. We were in a first floor room and there was no window lock. Easily remedied with a tripmtonthe front desk. We stayed here as a stop over point on our way to the Grand Canyon. The only drawbacks for me were the paper thin walls and the fact that only 2 restaurants were open that night.

I booked this hotel, as it had the best reviews in Monticello and it was also completely full the night we stayed. The hotel itself wasn't too bad. The breakfast was fine and the rooms were ok too for the price.
I had two main issues with this place. In both rooms we had one out of four towels that had dark brown stains, and yes I did not complain about it but I should have.
My main reason for giving this hotel a terrible rating is that my husband lost his National Park annual pass at the reception (he basically gave it to them with his ID as we found out later form another guest). They did not say anything, not even when we went there later again or when we checked out. Luckily another guest saw that the person at reception just took it. We met this guest twice again at reception when we had questions and at check out and the receptionist did not say anything both times about the card. Until the guest told us in the presence of the receptionist about the card and finally they gave it back to us. Maybe it was an honest mistake but I am not sure especially as we only used one person on the card and it can be used by 2 (so wouldn't have been useless for the finder). I was very disappointed. Thanks so much to the guest for being so honest and helpful.

Pros: big rooms, wide halls.
Cons: penny-pinching management. Our faucet was restricted to a trickle to save water, so we had to use the bathtub to wash face and hands. Breakfast orange juice a sort of watery kool aid. This seems to be a former Day's Inn. Won't go back.

The place was very comfortable and the rate was a real buy. Nice breakfast selection and a good restaurant right across the street. We stopped overnight between Moab and Mesa Verde. It is a very modern facility and has wonderful mural type photos of area sites.

The room was very clean (most importantly!) There was alot of space to park making it easy to load/unload luggage. The breakfast was great with lots of choices (we missed the "make- it- your self waffles but they did have toaster waffles). We had a good night's sleep and the staff was very nice. The pool looked very inviting, but we didn't have the time for a swim. We will be back.
