The check in was warm and welcoming. The hotel, a former Days Inn judging by the discarded sign in the yard, was depressing.

It is easy to see why Days Inn gave up the ghost, everything needs refurbishing or upgrading. Our air conditioning was very noisy so we turned it off but that did not dull the compressor like sound of the unit on the floor above.

The footsteps of the guest upstairs suggested there was little insulation between the floors. The plumbing was noisy and we were woken the next morning by the noise of the upstairs shower unit and more footsteps.

The breakfast was abysmal, limited cereal selection, no fruit or hot food but toast.

If your plans require a stay in Monticello it would be best to reassess and find another town.

Motel was OK - possibly other better but limited choices in small town. Over Priced at $100, ATVers (not hotel's fault) around - they did quiet down after asking. No AT&T cell service but did have Wifi. No restaurants within walking distance, Staff somewhat in attentive when I arrived.

I beleive Monticello, UT caters to outdoor enthusiasts so you may run risk of interesting other visitors. Looked like better location than Cortez CO but next time I will push on to Moab

We normally stay at a normal chain hotel but this time we decided to save the high Moab prices and stay 50 miles south at the Inn at the Canyons. This is a converted Days Inn that still uses the same furniture of the 80s and 90s. There are signs everywhere telling what you can and cannot do. And the funny thing is there are signs on all the room doors that say "no pets" and yet in two days I saw numourous pets on the property. The contenital breakfast is a joke. The milk is watered down and the coffee tasted like it was ran through the filter a few times. Nothing to eat but cereal and pre-packaged stuff. The kicker of the two day stay was the owner drives a Hummer H1 and we personally wintnessed him doing donuts in it in the rear of the property and throwing dirt and rock from the tires at the vehicles in the parking lot. On a side note we ate dinner at the R&F resturant just a couple miles from the hotel and it was sub-standard and way over priced. My advice is to pay the extra bucks and stay closer to Moab if that is your destination. This hotel was not what I expected from the Trip Advisor reveiws.

Room Tip: Get a top floor room as the bottom floor is noisy from the toop floor people. It sounded like they had cement blocks on their feet and continually waling around their room.

Crazy to say, but their soap is amazing!!! We had the best time in their pool. It's nicer and bigger than most of the hotel poold that we have been in! They were very willing to accomodate~ from extra towels (and soap:) to a late check out. The entry area is beautiful and and they have a nice sized breakfast. I have been there before the new owners and the entry area is now beautiful and there are always new updated features every time we visit. Great job Inn at the Canyons! We are loyal visitors!

This hotel is very well located near several National Parks, such as Canyonlands, Moab, Bridges and Arches so I recommend it highly just for that. The price is very affordable. The reception is nice and they are very helpful. There are many different activities and things to do around this area.

The inddor pool is great.

The breakfast could be improved a bit but considering the low price of the room I guess it is fine.
