This isn't what one typically thinks of in regards to Soldier Hollow but we attended a great Native American Pow Wow. They said it was one of the largest Pow Wow's in the nation. Solder Summit was a great location. The weather was cool. They offered free camping. There were restrooms and showers in the lodge. The Pow Wow was so interesting and my son learned a lot. So many different dancers and so many costumes. I would definitely attend again and would recommend the even.
THey had traditional Native American drummers and singers. There was a grandfather drumming and singing in a circle of other drummers and his grandson was sitting on his lap singing. It was so touching. A tribute to the culture passing from one generation to the next.
I give Soldier Hollow four stars instead of five beause it is the middle of freaking no where!
