The town of Marysvale Utah has a lot of outdoor activities to offer (rafting, horseback riding, hiking, biking, atving, rock climbing, waterfalls, mining trails, and seeing petroglyphs at nearby Fremont Indian State Park), but in staying at this cabin, all that our kids wanted to do was go and play in the stream. The stream was just a one minute walk from the cabin, it was about 6 to 12 inches deep and was great for kids to play in. There is also a playground downtown they liked too. The cabin itself is very cute (there are two cabins, we had the bigger one). Beth Ann, the very wonderful host and cabin and campground manager, is really a great person and very helpful with everything. The cabin is two floors with a balcony on the second floor. Its not super big, but its got everything you need. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and a dog and had plenty of room. There are three beds upstairs (one king and two doubles). There are also spare fold out beds and a futon in the living room in case you need more sleeping accommodation. It has a full kitchen (microwave, freezer, fridge, double sink, small oven, range, and a BBQ grill outside) with all the pots and pans and plates you need (although if you have special pots you like to cook in, you might want to bring them). It has a bathroom (that has a toilet and a shower, but you have to use the kitchen sink to wash your hands), although if someone else needs to go when someone is in the bathroom, you can always use the campground bathrooms and showers too).
Its a pretty quiet spot (despite being close to the road and next to an ATV trail), lots of trees, and allows you to bring pets. I highly recommend it, especially if you have little kids. The Paiute ATV trail goes right by it, so if you are into ATV's, it is a good location for that too. It is also in the same parking lot with Hoovers Restaurant, which has your typical bar food). Very cute place and super friendly and helpful owner. There's a spot to have a big campfire too, if you want to roast marshmallows (make sure to bring some mosquito repellent too).
If its raining a lot and you want to stay inside, there is a tv with a vcr and dvd player and there are plenty of video tapes and dvds in the office. There is no telephone in the cabin, but there is one in the office, if you don't have a cell phone.
They rent out their cabins by the week. I recommend getting groceries at the Fresh Market on the main street in Richfield as there are no big grocery stores in Marysvale.
