Comfort Inn
Ranked #11 of 11 Hotels in Logan
Reviewed September 11, 2011

We stayed in a queen room with fold out couch with two doggies. The room was large and the pictures on the Comfort Inn website was pretty accurate. Everything in the room was clean when we arrived. The only thing we noticed that concerned us was the side "secured" entrance was constantly propped open by a trashcan. We even moved the trashcan off to the side in order to shut the security door, but an hour later, the door was propped open again. Another gripe was that the landscaping maintenance had not been worked on and there were weeds and overgrowth everywhere. The staff at the hotel was very friendly though. We would actually stay there when we pass through again.

Had to call from lobby phone to get someone to check us in; room was on second floor and there isn't an elevator; hot tub appears to have been drained for quite some time and when we asked about it there was no indication it was ever going to be working again. Had to go outside ot get to the indoor pool. Ice machine wasn't working. Paint on toilets is bubbling and chipping off in places. Busy highway noise came through window all night long; Ice machine wasn't working. Odd smells throughout.

This was a very nice, quiet, clean, newer hotel that we will be sure to stay in again if we pass through that area. The only complaint was that the internet signal was not strong enough in the room for our computer to log on--we had to sit out in the hallway to use it. Other wise--great hotel.

We stayed here for the Cache Valley Cruisein. The rooms were clean and up to date. We were told they were remodeled last year. The outside of the building is an ugly shade, do not know what they were thinking when they choose that color. It look like carrot flavored baby food.

The guy at the front desk was super nice. We arrived waaaaay to early for check in and he told us that no room were clean because they were booked solid the night before. Makes since due to the huge car show going on in the area.

My husband asked if we could at least check in and get the keys later. The guy said yes and while looking, he noticed they had a room a valuable that was 5 bucks more. Since I was not feeling up to par, my husband said that would be fine and we took it.

I was disappointed to find out there was no fridge in the room which I swear the website said they had, but it's okay. We made due with out it.

I am also confused on the review that called this a Motel 6? It isn't a motel 6, it is a Comfort Inn and the quality was on par for Comfort Inn. Not the best in the world, but not motel 6ish either.

We've had very good luck with Comfort Inns. This was no exception. On the "spur of the moment" during a 4th of July weekend trip to Southeast Idaho, we decided to include another night and travel to Logan, Utah at the last minute (I usually make my reservations well ahead of time). We pulled over to the side of the road and called Choice Hotels and were fortunate to find one room left at this Comfort Inn for the senior rate of $63 + tax. This is a very clean and quiet hotel located on the outskirts of Logan to the south. It was an especially convenient location for us as it was within a mile or so of the golf course which we decided to play the next day plus within a short driving distance of various restaurants. As for restaurants, this was the only complaint I had with the Comfort Inn. We asked the very friendly young lady at the front desk for recommendations for restaurants in Logan. She mentioned a few and told us the easiest way to get there and avoid all the traffic who were lined up to watch their annual July 4th Parade. We started driving and within a short distance from the hotel we found a restaurant, The Beehive Grill & Pub, which had a number of cars in the parking lot which indicated to us it was probably a good place to eat. Anyway, we found the place delightful with great food at reasonable prices, fantastic service, and a nice atmosphere. We were so impressed by it that we asked for information to take back to the hotel so we could recommend it to fellow travelers. When we got back to the hotel there was a line of people waiting to check in so we were unable to talk to the same young lady at the front desk but we did discover in the lobby a desk with a myriad of restaurant information and discount coupons, of which the Beehive was one (offered a 15% discount off your total bill). Obviously, we were a little upset that the young lady at the front desk never even mentioned this desk in the lobby or all the discount coupons available as we're always into saving a few dollars. The continental breakfast offered at the hotel is your typical Comfort Inn breakfast with boiled eggs, waffles, packaged oatmeal, danish, cereal, fruit, etc. We'd definitely stay here again and I'd only hope when travelers like us ask for restaurant recommendations we'd be informed of all the information including discounts they have on restaurants in the area.

Despite the outward appearance of this hotel ( very bad choice of color) This was a great choice of a place to stay. the staff was great and the room all I expected. We overslept and they held off on cleaning up the breakfast (for an hour) just for us. We were able to have fresh waffles, danish, cereal, and eggs.

Don't stay here!!!! The hotel will rip off anyone they can. I arrived in town late at night and all rooms were booked in town. This hotel had available rooms at the shocking price of $149.00 plus taxes. The clerks were laughing because they were enjoying sticking-it to tourist arriving.

The hotel is in great need of up-dating. The stairways were dirty. No towels in the room. No hair-dryer, refrigerator, I was scared to venture to check-out the pool. They offered honey buns and coffee in the lobbby at check-out. It was a big joke.

I stayed the next night in Logan at a very nice hotel that charged $95.00. It had all the services that Motel 6 didn't (and class to prove it).
