We went to Thanksgiving Point specifically to ride the trolley and see the Christmas lights. We arrived about 6 pm, and the only availability was on the last trolley of the night, I think it was at 9:00 or 9:30. Since the children were so looking forward to the ride, we purchased our tickets and waited around until time for the trolley. (There is not much to do there unless you want to shop or pay outrageous prices for a mediocre meal.)
Finally, hurray, here comes the trolley...we are so excited to get on and go see the lights! We are the first ones on! We are taking photos of all of us on the trolley, talking about how fun it's going to be...when the ticket-taker comes back to where we are sitting and says there's been a mistake, the entire trolley was reserved, and we have to get off.
Really??? We've been waiting for hours! They sold us tickets for this specific time! Well, don't worry, they say we can get our money back. Big deal, tell that to these little kids who are now sobbing in disappointment. We are offered tickets for the next night, but that does not do us any good at all, because we are from out-of-town and we came here just to go on this specific outing.
These people really need to get their act together. WHY were we sold tickets on a sold-out ride? Was there no communication between employees? If we had been turned away at 6 pm, we would have understood, we should have got there earlier, but they KNEW THAT MORNING that it was sold out, and let us wait around for hours for nothing but disappointment.
Horrible customer service, each person, including the manager, blaming somebody else for the screw-up.
We will not return.
