“Great location”
Reviewed July 9, 2012

My 8 yr old daughter and myself stayed here on a family getaway trip. The girl that was at the front desk was not friendly or welcoming. When booking this hotel I didn't realize that it was a pet friendly hotel. I had to ask the clerk to move room because there was a barking dog in the room next to us. The room itself was clean and roomy. The beds were comfortable. The location of the hotel is great! Famous Dave BBQ is in the same parking lot as the hotel. Lot's of hotels and shopping in walking distance. I would stay there again.

Service was great! At first the room's refrigerator didn't work. The front desk moved us to the executive suite at no extra cost because it was the only room left with two queen beds.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location near SLC and The Lake. Rooms are clean; beds comfortable. Continental breakfast good esp. the waffles!
We have stayed here before on vacation because it is pet friendly - and will definitely stay here again!

We stayed at 3 LQ's on a recent cross-country drive. This was the least impressive of the bunch.

First the good: We got in at midnight, and the receptionist had no problem checking us in within a few seconds. We were traveling with a dog, and there was no paperwork, no deposit, no hassle. The breakfast selection seemed quite good. The pool looked nice (didn't try it), and was well-used by the many families we saw there. Also, the location is very convenient for long-distance travelers: right off the highway, right near services. Also, the room's flat-screen TV was new and fantastic!

The bad: The room was not very clean--the bedding on one of the beds in particular (luckily, there were two beds in the room). The bathroom desperately needed an update. Our room was on a smoking floor, but in a nonsmoking section; it still reeked of smoke (to his credit, the receptionist warned us it might--but the hotel was full, and he had no other rooms to put us in). We sort of doubted that it was just smoke leaking in from nearby, but rather that the room used to be a smoking room, and was never properly cleaned after being switched over to nonsmoking. In general, the entire hotel could use a renovation and update.

Room Tip: Don't allow them to put you near the smoking section; even the non-smoking rooms on that floor r...

My husband and two year old daughter and I stayed here after two days of driving from Indianapolis. We checked in very late at night without any hitches, as of June 10 2012 they still tolerated pets in rooms, at least small cats.
Room was nice, clean, stocked. As previous reviewers have said though, even non smoking rooms have a lingering smoke smell. When booking our reservation we specifically asked for a non smoking room and the attendant made it seem like an unreasonable request.
After her hemming and hawing my husband expressed to her that we would just go elsewhere if they couldn't accommodate a non smoking room and she quickly changed her tune and magically found us one. *eye roll*.
Positive note; beds were among the comfiest at a chain hotel that I've stayed in!
We also liked that it was directly across from a 24 hour Walgreens-- super convenient. There is also a Famous Daves BBQ next to it, which unfortunately we didn't get to check out.
